I have a long hair for a very long period of time, and I wanted to change it, but I didn't know exactly into what. That is why I decided to ask the pros. I found them on Yelp and I booked an appointment with Janney. I went there, we started talking, she asked me what I want, I said I want to cut it, and that I am just not sure what exactly should it be, and I asked her to recommend what kind of cuts would work for my face.
The fact that I didn't have an idea what kind of a cut I want, made Janney think that I am not sure about changing my hair. And that made her think that I won't appreciate whatever she does to me. So she basically decided not to do anything, or lets say, anything big. I even asked can we do this, or that, but at that time she had already decided. Of course that didn't mean they would offer a refund, or reschedule or anything of the sorts.
She then proceeded to fix one tiny bit (to at least try to justify the cost), and cut the ends of the hair half an inch shorter.
95$ for that is waaaaaaaaay to much.
The customer service that I expected was to talk about what cut would work for me, but that is exactly what she didn't want to do.
Overall, average customer service, average settings, and way way overpriced for the service they offered.
Wouldn't go there again, and wouldn't recommend...
Read moreI started going to Fleischman last year, after my first visit, I became a customer for life. The appointment making process is easy, and you can get to know your hair stylist on their website and even read some great blog posts they have about hair styling. From the moment you walk in, you can tell the attention to detail the staff has. The atmosphere is warm, professional, and personal. Before washing your hair, you get a consultation with your stylist where you talk about your hair, and your hair stylist will tell you things about your hair that you never thought of before. Janney is my hair stylist and I totally recommend her, shes honest, funny, and above all, talented! I walk out of Fleischman feeling like a new man every time. The haircuts I get here last a long time and look awesome for a while, which is a major bonus. Janney also talks to me about how to style my hair when it starts to get longer, so you actually come out knowing more about how to do your hair. It is a bit pricey, but I would recommend everyone experience a haircut from here once, and you'll be coming back. Another plus is that they don't push expensive hair products like most salons do. I have never had a bad experience here in the 10 times...

I had high hopes for this salon after seeing their Instagram page, but unfortunately, my experience didn’t live up to the hype. I have wavy hair, and Erika, the stylist, seemed to struggle with cutting it. The layers on the sides didn’t come out well at all—it was uneven and didn’t complement the natural texture of my hair. For the nearly $400 price tag, I expected so much more.
Honestly, there are other hairstylists who can do comparable or even better work at a much more affordable price. Erika might do well with certain hair types, but she definitely needs to improve her skills when it comes to wavy or textured hair. It felt like she only had experience with straight or white hair, which is limiting for a professional in this field.
On a positive note, Erika was friendly throughout the appointment, but friendliness doesn’t make up for a poor haircut, especially at this price point. I can’t recommend this salon based on my experience. Save your money and...
