My experience here was amazing, I will advise that if you're looking for professionals to repair your hair this is just the place for that. I'm going to run you guys down my story, so you can get an overall perspective on why I think they were so great and victorious at doing their job. I have #1B hair naturally black with like zero brown tones almost as black as jet black. I went to a salon where they bleached my hair through a balayage process. It came out platinum blonde, and they attempted to throw in ash blonde since my desired color was to be platinum gray.
The only issue was that the color made me look very washed out and it took way too long for me to attempt and dye it gray. I tried using products such as Overtone that are semi-permanent dyes to achieve my desired color. It worked on some strands but left others either purple or with blonde streaks. I tried keeping up with using purple shampoo, but it only kept turning my hair gray and purple. I decided to bleach my hair only a month and two weeks into this color. As a result I did a very bad job it was sloppy half of my hair was more lightened and than the other.
I used regular beauty supply products that you could find at your local store or online but still ended up overtime spending more money than going to a professional. Then I decided to use overtone once again, for highlights of different colors it never affected my hair. But then again I got tired of the color and decided to use a cheap dye and dyed it one half pink the other half blue. It was fun until I started realizing I've lost so much hair. I started looking up ways to go back to my natural color through YouTube videos and articles and thought I could take on the challenge regardless of all the warning to go to a professional.
I purchased a 40 developer and 2 jet-black semi permanent dyes. Got my hair to jet black but it turned out to have further damaged my hair and it started breaking off. It wasn't break off in chunks but more strands than usual were falling down even when combing my hair. I also would run my fingers down my hair and it was dry and brittle it felt like a cheap Barbie dolls hair. I started reusing heating tools such as a blow dryer, and flat iron and all the color faded with the heat and I was left with a patchy mess.
It was on a Saturday night I believe or Sunday early morning and I was able to get a response right away with confirmation that they could help me. I set up an appointment for 11AM. When I walked into to the salon I was greeted by a very nice young lady and she assisted me in checking out my hair. She looked at it and knew exactly what I needed, I needed a split end treatment. I realized I may also need a hair cut and included it with a deep treatment, color, wash and set and a blow out altogether.
I spent around 3 hours there but I will tell you it's very well worth it. They were amazing to me I couldn't have asked for a better done job. I've gone to many hair stylists and professionals. None of them compared to them at all, I forgot the names of both of the ladies that helped me or else I'd also give them a shout out. Either way I couldn't see the salon hiring anyone that wouldn't be great at helping their customers. Everything inside this salon is so beautifully decorated like a spa.
It has these small details of the plants, the rugs, and the color scheme that just make you feel as though you're there to relax and take it easy. I enjoyed very much being there as an overall experience. They were so helpful to me after, I lost all my hope for repairing my hair. I wish I could give them more than a five star review. They were also inexpensive I've gone to salons that have done less for more money, mind you it is not even their own hair products. Everything here just felt so natural and mind blowing. I would refer them to anyone that is looking for a good and professional salon with...
Read moreI was searching on Google regarding scalp treatment, and I found a review of this business establishment that explained that they successfully removed dandruff. The assessment prompted me to use their service, and I was impressed with their work. The salon artist REINA massaged my scalp with essential oils; I was instructed to use the glass dome, which heats my scalp soaked with the abovementioned crucial oils for 20 minutes, and she wrapped the treatment with the scalp massage. After 45 minutes to an hour, my scalp was taken care of—impressive.
It was a unique experience; REINA assessed that my scalp was dehydrated. I didn't think she could transform an egregiously dry scalp into a healthy one (I guess her professionalism can attest to that). I understand that it was supposed to be a therapeutic experience, but I was somewhat skeptical of the concept "essential oils" would reinvigorate the scalp. Given the treatment experience above, I was amazed at how they rehydrated it. Secondly, before the treatment, REINA examined my scalp, and it was interesting how it was depicted via their microscope. It was embarrassing but exciting to see the explicit details of a dry scalp—before and after the treatment. Thirdly, REINA conveyed how the treatment would last for a month, and I was recommended to come back to see if there were any issues (which I'll bear). Lastly, the staff inside the shop were gregarious; customers established excellent relationships with their salon artists. For example, during the procedure, one customer came into the establishment to discuss their hair conditions with glee and how it yielded positive results. Once again, this was my first time coming to the shop; it appears it takes time to develop a business-like relationship. Overall, it was a unique experience to engage.
In conclusion, I'll give the experience FIVE STARS. Next time I return, I'll be calm and assertive. Technically, it is supposed to be a therapeutic experience, yet I was cautious about the result. Now, I see the development and the prowess in effect. I'll happily engage next time.
P.S. I'm a guy. Therefore, it is okay to take care of your hair in a salon. They'll love you if you continually come back for their...
Read moreI came to this salon strictly based on reviews and flew all the way in to have it done. I came in with my natural hair color with grown out blonde balayage and explained to Gio that I wanted to cover my greys and change the color without it being permanent. Something that would essentially wash out. What she should have done is toned my hair and did only a root grey touch up but instead recommended semi permanent hair color stating that it would fade and “wash out” after a few months. I had the service back in December and it is now May and I have permanent deposited color that turned a brassy orange on my hair, never washing out. She recommended I do a collagen treatment two weeks after the color service and after doing so I believe it contributed to my hair turning even more of an orange color. Why didn’t she recommend I do this beforehand if anything? I have so many questions. I now have my worst nightmare: orange dull colored hair and my base will take a year or more to grow out. This dye is deposited sitting on my hair and I have to also spend more $$$ to color correct it and wait for my natural color to grow out so I can balayage on a fresh canvas of hair. So disappointed that she didn’t take her time to explain that this “semi” permanent would in fact be permanent.my hair looks dull. I am giving two stars because I loved the collagen treatment results aside from it altering the color. Other than that do your research before you book for any kind of color service here. Also, do not expect to call Gio and explain to her your frustration because she will just go on and on about how she’s right, etc. I tried to cordially speak to her and she wanted me to come back into the salon. What good would that do when I have to fly form out of state and pay more money to fix this mess? No, thanks. Collagen treatments and scalp repair is their strength here, not hair color, clearly.
