I've known Hana Nails to be here for some decades. Today my daughter and I went to do a mani and pedi (Our first time here). We walked in and I said good morning. It was about 3 nail techs in already. Neither said good morning. That was a turn off of not greeting your customers. The tech that sits at the table 2nd to the right approached us and said pick color, no good morning greeting, because we were the first ones there. I said I have my own polishes. So my daughter and I told them we wanted just a simple mani and pedi. The same tech did mines, and she mentioned a good special that includes callus, I declined politely, then she mentioned it again, then I said "I told you the first time no thank you". She caught an attitude. I ignored her because I already knew I would not come back here or recommend this place because of the unfriendly demeanor from her. Then she asked me a question trying to be nice because she heard me saying to my daughter I don't like her attitude and I will not be coming back, When I answered she goes yeah yeah yeah as to cutting me off. Turn off. Then after she finished my mani and pedi I paid her for my daughter and myself then gave both techs $5 tips and she was rushing me to hand her the money, greedy, and I took my time and she didn't even say thank you. The tech that was taking care of my daughter was very nice because she was conversating with my daughter. I usually do my own mani and pedi because these asian people don't like my people but they like our money. Only thing I will say they use very good products, but due the tech that was servicing me and the other 2 that were there this morning not greeting my daughter and I, I will not go back there. People may say that is petty but in reality it's not, great customer service starts with the workers, without that their is no business. I am a Personal Banker and my daughter is an RN and we don't treat...
Read moreIf i could give a 0 stars. I’m 7 months pregnant and i just started back going to the nail salon because i can’t bend over to do it myself anymore. This place had horrible service second time around. I went today at 2:35pm on 8/23/22. If you zoom in on the bottom of my foot of the picture i provided you will see a dry cracked heel after i just finished a pedicure. I complained to the lady that was doing my pedicure and i complained to management. They said you have to pay $10 to get that off. Funny i was just there 3 weeks ago with the same foot and dead skin and the other woman that did my pedicure at that time got the dry skin off with a regular pumice which was a regular pedicure. The manager then tells me it’s $10 to medicate and get it off and that she’s sorry for the language barrier with the woman that did the pedicure. I don’t care about that lady and her language barrier. She should of got you-the manager when i started to complain. I think paying $10 was terrible to pay extra for when i just was here 3 weeks ago and the lady didn’t need to do that and my foot looked the same. This place wants to over charge you for services that are already included in a regular pedicure price. The manager didn’t care and so therefore i don’t care to write this review. This is exactly why i started to do my nails myself. Now i have to go home and use my pumice stone after i just got a pedicure due to their poor service. I’ll be putting this on TikTok because this place does not take pride in their work and just wants to...
Read moreOn Saturday, March 19th, I went to this establishment, Hana Nails located at 75 Maiden Lane, New York, NY 10038 (Wall Street Area of lower Manhattan) to get a manicure & pedicure because I was going on a cruise the next day. The manicurist was very unprofessional as she placed the dirt from my big toe on top of my skin rather than the towel that is normally used & left it there until she was finished with that foot. Then after she gave me a horrible chair massage which included my upper back & neck, she placed a very hot towel on my upper back which burned my skin. She says sorry but I know she was not sincere and then she come back with an antiseptic spray which would have burned my skin more. She then starts massaging my upper back with oil. Then out of nowhere she starts laughing very loudly in my ear as she is rubbing my upper back. It was very disgusting & disgraceful how I was being treated & then laughed at so uncaringly. I still think about it & it hurts to think how horrible they treated me. As I was packing to leave, I saw the manicurist & two other woman in the back. No manager came to me to express their apologies for what transpired.
I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE.
I feel the manicurist acted in this disgraceful matter to stop me from returning to this place. Prejudice is the root of this degrading service.
I recommend they can improve their service by not being prejudice against other races of color. Treat everyone with respect as they are...
