I am a sign language interpreter, so I really need to be able to hear 100% for work. I also am more knowledgable about hearing aids, hearing loss and hearing in general than the average client. I have high expectations for an audiologist to take my needs seriously, treat me with respect, and not have a doom and gloom attitude about hearing loss. Dr. Aaron Krasnick is all of these and more. I have been displeased with several other audiology practices such as Musician's Hearing, Brooklyn College, etc. I am pleased to give him and his practice 5 stars, and if I could give it 6, I would, because he is also easy going, works quickly, and I walked out with a loaner hearing aid that worked better than any aid I have had the same day as my appointment. Finally, he is the first audiologist to simulate background noise during an aid fitting, using his iPhone. It's that easy, and yet, no one has offered me that option in the past, and if you wear an aid, you know that is exactly what you want, is an aid that has been adjusted to match speech in...
Read moreI am always skeptical when I see something advertised on Facebook. Are they going to do a hard sell? I could not have been MORE WRONG! I felt immediately comfortable upon entering. The receptionist was friendly and immediately likable. Dr. Aaron was patient and thorough. I had a lot of questions. His office was very welcoming. Technology had advanced since my last hearing test, and he showed me the insides of my ears, I was at ease before the hearing test and he showed me my results immediately. There was no hard sell. In fact, he explained clearly why a hearing aid would NOT help my deaf ear. I really appreciated that. Dr. Aaron did put a device on me. A "cross hearing' device. Just as an experiment. He had no expectations and when I didn't notice a marked improvement, he joked that it "didn't hurt his feelings. A person either loves it or not". I was actually sad when he said I didn't need to come back for a couple years. I hope you have read long enough to see that Dr. Aaron Krasnick has my highest...
Read moreI got my hearing aids at Hearing Life several years ago, before the pandemic, when it was still called Sutton Hearing and Balance. At the time my hearing was borderline. I had a real problem when I was with my family, missed way too much of what was going on all around me. The aids made a huge difference. I didn’t wear them all the time, but in noisy restaurants and large group situations they were very helpful- and at the theater, they were invaluable. Amazing how you can turn them up to catch the quiet parts - even eavesdrop if you’re so inclined. My hearing has stayed pretty much the same, so I haven’t been interested in upgrading so far. The service and maintenance have been fantastic all that time. I get reminder calls when it’s time for a new hearing test and to have the aids adjusted and cleaned, and they have continued to supply me with batteries. I really couldn’t ask for more. When the time comes, this is where I’ll find...
