I discovered Daiso last week. And was so happy to have stumbled upon a cute store. I bought two Ramen last week and when I went to cashier they had a whole wall of Ponchos.

This Saturday it’s going to rain and I am going to a party. So I was on a hunt to find 12 knee length ponchos and I couldn’t order them as they won’t be here in time now. But then I remembered Daiso had a whole wall of them so I went in today.

The poncho wall is near the entrance, next to the cashier. The minute I walked in I went and picked up a poncho and was reading the package to try and figure the height of the poncho.

The cashier was finishing checking out items for the person in front of me so I stood on the side and was reading the package. She suddenly came out of the cashier area and went outside and peeped both sides. Then she came back in and stood next to me and started glaring at me angrily and my mind went blank for a second (simultaneously I was also on a call with a friend so I told her to hold and I spoke to the cashier) I asked her if the poncho will be knee length and see kept looking at me angrily and then said no.

Now let’s focus on what I was wearing- a big coat with a hoodie and it is freaking cold and windy outside. It was assumed that I was there to shoplift. I understand you might have faced many incidents where people do come in and try shoplifting and you have to careful and full alert. But what happened today was unfortunate, I will not be coming back to shop here. Losing one customer might not matter to you but if this happened to me, it could have happen to others?

So if you go to Daiso please don’t wear a hoodie or stay bundled up inside the store even if its cold. Dress well or else they might assume you are...

I don't usually use these reviews to air out these cautions but since there is a no returns or exchange policy, this needs to be made aware somehow.

Purchased the white backlit Digital Clock with Thermometer and Hygrometer. I popped in the needed AAA batteries and the device started to heat up extremely fast. The back of the device's vents was emitting warmth and started to smell. The battery cover felt a bit warmer, so I popped that up and touched the batteries. The batteries became extremely hot to the touch, I quickly took the batteries out before it could do any real damage. After 5 mins, the batteries were still hot to the touch, while the device had already cooled down.

I don't believe you are able to check the products before use or even test it. For a faulty item, there should be some exchange or return policy on that. So beware on buying the White Backlit Digital Clock with Thermometer and Hygrometer or any possible electronic device for...

6/30/2024 - I absolutely love this store and never leave empty-handed. This time around, I stocked up on a lightweight umbrella (perfect for throwing in my luggage), cute little notebooks, some cute wrapping paper and some scotch tape. Special thank you to Nikola who was so patient with me as I kept running back to retrieve items I had forgotten. Hope she gets the recognition she deserves.

Update: 7/2/2024 - I swear I can't resist stopping into this store whenever I pass it! I ended up buying cute little notebooks that come in so handy for to-do lists and grocery lists. I had purchased them on 6/30 but decided to buy 2 more. Also grabbed some adorable stickers for my grand nieces and some cute little transparent bags for traveling. Special thank you to Nikki who assisted me at the self-checkout. The staff at this store is really awesome! Highly recommend visiting this store. You cannot beat their prices and the staff is very welcoming...

Interesting place, I heard about Daiso from a friend and I decided to go there on a whim. I mainly went for storage containers and that's what I got. After looking around a bit I saw a refillable butane bbq lighter and had to get it lol as I have one of those lighters and it's not refillable. All in all I spent $11 USD on all the stuff I purchased, It's made my life a little bit more organized and I'm happier for it.

Prices were fair and somewhat cheap, they did have a variety of stuff , from food, to makeup to kitchen tools to even toys, and much more. At the front it may not look spacious but it is once you go a bit deeper into the store. They even have how much each item cost when you convert it, you'll see it almost all around the store, you definitely can't miss it.

How long has Daiso been 15 blocks from my home before I knew it? I don’t know, but too long. It has so many useful household things, toys, tasty snacks and fun stickers and stationary stuff. All bargains. The doll dresses I bought were $1.99. There are things that are more than that, like some snacks, but most of my purchases were $1.99 each.
