Everything started off okay when I initially booked Natalia for a trial, but things took a turn. I originally booked Natalia for a glitter glam trial for my upcoming wedding. The first trial had to be rescheduled and a few days before the new trial appointment I sent a text asking her how long I would have to keep on the glitter glam as her confirmation email addresses prep and what to do for henna and Jagua, but not glitter. I really wanted to know if the glitter glam has to stay on for many hours to set, and if it is a paste and has to be peeled off like henna since I have no knowledge of this. She responds by saying “I’m driving to an event. I’ll be brief. You’ll see for yourself on Saturday how long it lasts on you”. And then she sends another message saying it varies for everyone and she hasn't done glitter glam on the same body part. She initially didn’t answer my question about how it sets or how long it needs to set for which Is something I need to know for my wedding day and I felt like she could have just responded to me at a later time if she was too busy to explain the process. I also asked day before appt if she is still going to be free on the day of my wedding and she responds day of appt by saying “We will discuss the times and details in person but I do have the earlier part of the day still available”. So I responded by providing two hourly time frames for the afternoon in which I only have availability now since I have to get makeup and hair done earlier in the day (appointment recently booked) and I asked if she is free during either time and her response is: “I’m with clients. Ill continue this convo when I see you”. My thing is why would I travel all the way to BK to do a trial and I cannot even get a confirmation regarding availability? I get being busy, but if she was no longer free then I would have to cancel the trial as I would not be able to use her services, so my question was a priority. Consequently, I responded by saying I would like to cancel my appointment because it doesn't make sense to have a trial and discover her availability upon arrival and she responds with a time and says she will be free up until 3pm on my wedding day and If I cancel she will charge my card as policy. I told her I would like to proceed with canceling and she can go ahead and charge my card. I simply cannot work with someone who can’t answer questions/concerns that are a priority especially for such a big event. I understand that life gets busy especially when you have your own business, but I believe that all questions/concerns from clients should be addressed the first time in order to provide good customer service and I felt...
Read moreIn March of 2020, my boyfriend became my fiancé when he proposed to me. After I came down from the unexpected surprise of our engagement I began envisioning my look for my wedding day in 2022. (We extended our engagement due to the pandemic.)
Henna was always on top of the list. For formal events, I would rock a simple DIY henna design, but I really wanted to go all out.
Now it was just a matter of figuring out who would help me...
Hence the beginning of my search! I looked at artists around my area and soon discovered Naty's page! After checking out her website and Instagram page I was dead set on hiring her!
One of the things I liked is that she offered a hengua option. A mixture of henna with jagua... something I didn't realize could be a thing! Via her Instagram page, she has a story highlight section called "STAINS!" There you can see the life span of the henna, hengua, and jagua designs based off of how well it's taken care of. This was a crucial reason why I wanted to hire her.
Hoping she would be available a few days out from my wedding day she was already scheduled for another engagement. She offered to have someone else on her team do the design on that requested date, but I really wanted to work with her. After discussing this the closest date I could get was seven days before my wedding.
When she came to my house to do my hengua it was like having an old friend over! Her energy was amazing and the process was just so cool to watch! She's so talented!!!
From the three options, hengua seemed it would hold out best for me. I also did some further research for aftercare once the paste was removed from my hands. I purchased rubber gloves and that cast arm cover thing one uses while showering so the stain could last as long as possible. I was super diligent the first five days making sure I was very minimal with how much water I put on my hands.
And after being super careful I'm happy to report my hengua design lasted up to my wedding day! There was slight fading on the tips of my index fingers, but that was because those were the fingers I relied on heavily when I had to type.
I cannot tell you how many people in Middletown, CT was impressed with the design. Many thought I was wearing gloves and couldn't believe this was something that was done by hand because it just looked so perfect!
There's an event I have coming up in April and I will be reaching out to Naty again to see if she's available! You seriously won't regret...

She is one of the sweetest persons I have ever encountered and the level of professionalism that she shows is second to none. She was hospitable, ensuring that I was as comfortable as possible during the Jagua process and I left feeling as though I was leaving my own home. We talked through the entire process which made it that more fun. We weren’t there in awkward silence; it was as though we were friends who hadn’t spoken in a while so we had to do some catching up. Being thorough, thoughtful and genuine, I was given aftercare tips for my tat and she constantly checked to see how it was holding up. I had never experienced such good customer service before so I was particularly taken aback when she first messaged me, but it showed me that she cares about her clients and nothing beats that. I went to that appointment a client, and I left knowing if ever I needed a friend, she’d be open even if only just to listen. Do it!!...
