This place was right down the street from where I was staying, and I like stand-up so I figured I'd check it out. It's a small venue --there were never more than 20 people in the space including acts when I attended (expected on a random Tuesday night). If you like watching comics work things out, as I do, this is great and this is the space! In fact, if you wanna work some things out, you should stick around past 10 for their open mic. You'll mostly perform for other comics waiting to go on, but the crowd won't be brutal if you flatline... And it happens several times.. Beer was available, about $9 a can, seltzer was about $10 and wine $9 per cup. With no drink/purchase minimum, it's worth it if you pre-buy your tix online--they're just $5. But if you wait to pay the $15 at the door, on a Tuesday it's a bit overpriced.

The Tiny Cupboard Comedy Club was such a great experience for our first time! We enjoyed it so much that we ended up getting a season pass—definitely a place we’re excited to return to. The atmosphere is warm and lively, making it the perfect spot for a night of laughs. The crew is super friendly and attentive, adding to the overall welcoming vibe of the place. The only reason we’re giving 4 stars instead of 5 is due to the limited food options. It would be fantastic if they could add something simple, like air-fried finger foods, which would pair perfectly with the shows. Aside from that, everything else was great! And we absolutely have to mention the ginger beer—it’s incredible! If you’re a fan of ginger beer, you’re in for a treat. Overall, we had a wonderful time and can’t wait to come back!

Hidden gem in the heart of the Bushiwck section of Brooklyn. BUSHWICK has been my home since I was born 38 years ago and its amazing to have a place to come and laugh in the neighborhood. What a great show. I love the fact that your not forced to buy drinks like other comedy clubs I've been too. There's a little something for everyone. I will definitely be coming back. Thanks to all for an amazing night.

Tucked away at 10 Cooper Street in Bushwick, Brooklyn, The Tiny Cupboard is a standout in New York City's comedy scene. Founded by Amy Wong and Matt Rosenblum, this indie venue offers a unique blend of charm, affordability, and top-tier comedic talent.

Venue & Atmosphere

The Tiny Cupboard boasts a distinctive setup with performances held in an intimate indoor space, a converted church, and a spacious rooftop. This variety provides audiences with diverse experiences, from cozy indoor shows to open-air rooftop performances. The venue's ambiance is often described as cozy and welcoming, making it a favorite among locals and visitors alike.

Comedy Lineup

What sets The Tiny Cupboard apart is its commitment to showcasing both emerging and established comedians. With 2–5 stand-up shows daily and numerous open mic opportunities each week, it's a hub for comedy enthusiasts and aspiring performers. The club's programming includes stand-up showcases, improv jams, sketch performances, and headliner events, ensuring there's something for everyone.

Affordability & Accessibility

In a city where entertainment can be pricey, The Tiny Cupboard stands out for its affordability. Most shows are priced between $5–$10, with no drink minimums, making it accessible for a wide audience. This commitment to affordability doesn't compromise the quality of performances, as many attendees praise the high-caliber talent featured.

Final Thoughts

The Tiny Cupboard is more than just a comedy club; it's a cultural hotspot that captures the essence of Brooklyn's vibrant arts scene. Whether you're a comedy aficionado or just looking for a fun night out, this venue offers an authentic and memorable experience. Its blend of diverse performances, welcoming atmosphere, and commitment to showcasing talent makes it a must-visit...

Oh heck yes on a ski jet.

Tiny Cupboard has been around for a long time, but they also cut their teeth during the 2020 Pandemic like that one scene in Forrest Gump where the Hurricane happens and all the competitors to the Bubba Gump Shrimp Company went out of business.

This team had the grit -- spirit, work ethic, sense of humor, to survive.

This is as cutting edge as it gets. The energy feels like the Lower East Side Rock and Roll corridor -- thinking like Piano's NYC or Arlene's -- where this thing we call the collective unconscious is working itself out.

Yes fame and fortune are important, and all of that is coming to Tiny Cupboard just like Piano's or Arlene's -- great. But if you can make a place where people can be rather than to seem, I think -- look if I can name a place that makes me feel like it's more important than fame or fortune -- I think that's really special.

I recommend this place to everyone.

May my heart always be open to Little birds who are the secrets of living Whatever they sing is better than to know And if men should not hear them Men are old

May my mind always stroll about Strong and thirsty and fearless and supple And even if it's Sunday May I be wrong For wherever men are Right They are not young

And may I do nothing so usefully And love you so much more than Truly There has never been Quite such a fool who can Fail Pulling all of the sky over him With just one Smile

Oh man! What a great experience!

I've been doing stand up comedy for quite a few years now and the people at The Tiny Cupboard made me feel like a genuine modern day philosopher. To the couple in the front row who kept laughing at my jokes thank you so much! You have no idea what that kind of response means to comedians like myself.

Anyway; I wanted to take a moment to just write out my set so people who like my review can follow me online and help me grow my following.

Basically I said this:

"Thanks for coming out tonight; I just flew in from Boston and boy is my mouth tired from sucking the pilot off. You ever suck off a pilot while they're trying to fly the plane? Talk about turbulence! Wouldn't it be funny if that's how 9/11 really happened? No terrorists, no inside job, just some guy sucking off the pilot so good that he crashed his plane into The World Trade Center. Anyone on the dating apps? Anyone do Tinder? I was on Tinder and I started talking to this girl who was a dominatrix. Dominatrix is such a funny word. It's like a combination between Dominoes and Matrix. 'HEY MORPHEUS! LET ME GET A LARGE PEPPORONI PIZZA - NO RED PILL!'."

And then I walked off the stage and got a lot of compliments from my fellow comedians. Anyway, if you want to have a good night and receive oral pleasure from your significant other - take them to this venue and...
