1st time I was looking at a Pizzeria in that neighborhood was last week Monday and unfortunately, the place was closed but inside still were a few guys, who explained to me that they were off Monday-Tuesday and I should come back Wednesday. Wednesday I didn't make it and today I came and ordered a large veggie pie. The young handsome fellow told me to come back in 10 minutes, when I came to pick up my pizza, the size kind of surprised me, because was more like the middle pie than the large, plus I paid $38(card charge, cash cheaper) when all other pizzerias price goes between $22 and $26, All this caused not so much bewilderment as pure interest in what would be in the box. In addition, my small family of 4 people was waiting for me at the dinner table. When, 20 minutes later (that’s how long it took me to get from Bay Ridge to Brighton Beach Avenue), I walked up to the 3rd floor, my stomach was already making itself felt, not only with sounds but also with slight tingling sensations. A few minutes later, the four of us sat at a round table in front of the still-hot pizza and looked with delight at this work of art. For some reason, I immediately compared it to the pizza from the Julianas pizzeria, but the taste amazed me much more. Products of absolutely high quality, from mozzarella to cherry tomatoes and colored sweet pepper together with a few leaves of basil and arable crust-hardened made a taste unforgettable. That pizza worse each penny and now, when I would like to have a pizza, I know where I have to go. P.S. By the way, check the pictures with the menu and prices, there are some different types of pizza, that cost less than...
Read moreThe owner is an amazing guy, and this place truly has the best pizza in Brooklyn. I have been a customer for past 12 years. That’s why I was willing to drive 15 miles just to pick it up. Unfortunately, the customer service I experienced over the phone was extremely disappointing.
When I first called to place an order, the woman who answered had a rude and unpleasant attitude. I asked if I could place an order for pizza, and she said yes, ready in 20 minutes. 5-10 minutes later, I called back to add mozzarella and tomatoes. She then told me it would take 30 minutes. I said fine, just forget the addition and stick with the original pizza. She agreed.
On my way there, she called me back after 2-3 minutes later and asked if I was confirming the order or not. I was shocked and upset—what do you mean “confirming”? I had placed the order 10 minutes earlier! She then told me the pizza wasn’t even in the oven yet. They were just setting this up
After driving such a long way for what should have been a simple order, this was beyond frustrating. The food may be amazing, but service like this really ruins...
Read moreA nice family place to eat. The menu has solid choices to please almost everyone, and there are daily specials to review for additional choices. The penne pasta with vodka sauce was cooked and dressed perfectly and was the star of our table. The pizza was cooked nicely and had lots of toppings. The pepperoni cups were cooked to perfection. The bruschetta is a great appetizer with bold flavors but was a bit heavy on the oil for this serving. The tomato and mozzarella salad was a big portion. However, the tomatoes were a bit on the under-ripe side leaning towards the pinkish side (vs ripe red hues), and needed more basil on top. It would have been nice to have a balsamic reduction to top the salad, but oil and balsamic vinegar are available upon request. Overall, it was a solid meal that will have us returning the next time we're...
