Zoomies — Local services in New York

I love Zoomies! Not only because it’s a super cute store and it feels like Disneyland for pets but also because Susan is wonderful!

She is very kind, patient, friendly and makes the entire experience extremely pleasant. She takes the time to show you what she has, she is not pushy and she cares about her clients. She’s got great taste and helps you find the perfect thing! She knows all the items she has in the store, she is knowledgeable and knows exactly which toy or gift to recommend based on the breed and size of your pet.

She’s got the most unique dog toys. My dogs Oliver and Maple usually destroy their toys within 30 minutes but not the ones from Zoomies. They’re always made well, and stand up to chewing and biting. Susan’s also got an amazing collection of pet accessories like leashes, collars, harnesses, dog bag containers, all high quality and cool colors. She also offers amazing dog winter coats. I bought Oliver his winter coat 5 years ago and it still looks brand new, and is very warm and waterproof, perfect for New York’s cold winters. I wash it often and air dry it and it’s still in perfect shape. I always bring my friends visiting from Europe and they all love Susan and her store!

It appears to be a very well-apportioned store with lots of great products. Unfortunately, I was not allowed in the store as the store is (as of my visit in September 2022) permitting curbside shopping only.

I don’t write this to pass judgment on anyone’s specific health concerns. I would observe, however, that I often go shopping for products spontaneously, and many toy purchases for my dog are impulse buys based on what seems to catch her interest as we browse. I’d imagine there are many others that do the same. That to me is what makes brick and mortar retail better than online shopping. You want to see and feel a few products before you select one.

I’d offer an unsolicited suggestion. The manager, who I assume is the owner, seems very friendly. Perhaps if they have a personal health issue that they feel prevents them from fully reopening the store, they could consider hiring someone who does not have the same to concern to work as a clerk. I would think it would increase business considerably if people were free to walk in (and the increase business would probably offset the cost of...

We were looking for some fun accessories for our sweet pup and sought out this store because of the Google description. Easily the best owner operated pet boutique in NYC! The owner personally designs and brands the items available and the quality is undeniably amazing! The shop is easy to navigate and see all items offered, but if you have questions the store associate is also knowledgeable and friendly. She offers shipping at cost with either FedEx or USPS, depending on your needs, and sends out same day. They are celebrating 22 years in the West Village, this place is a gem! You can tell they are truly passionate about their products for the pet community.
