Went there more than 2 weeks ago to purchase a coat for $800. Returned it because i wanted 1 size smaller, the very unfriendly sales person said there is no size 34 in stock and she will get this within a week to me. 10 days passed nobody contacted me, when i called, she quickly apologized that she was about to call me. She explained that they dont have the coat in size 34 and need to get it from somewhere and couldn't tell me when. I asked for refund, because I want to wear the jacket on my vacation in 3 days. Sales person just said "" Unfortunately its stores policy that we can only give store credit"". Well guess what? its very unfortunate you dont have the size that I want in stock within reasonable time line, hence you should refund the money! because I can definitely get the items online or from Barneys! I insisted to talk to the store manager who repeatedly explained the said the same thing without offering any remedy. I asked them if they could get the coat within 3 days before I will leave for vacation, and they can't and don't know when they can have the item available. My goodness what a horrible experience! There should always be something that you can do to your customer if you can NOT deliver to your customer! Its as simple as that! if you can NOT deliver then refund the amount! I absolutely love Isabel Marant! more than half of my clothes are from this brand! and going to the store in SOHO is my favorite thing to do, but this experience just gives me a bad taste to...
Read moreYou will be judged. If that doesn't matter to you then by all means continue in. I visit NYC often and always shop at this particular Isabel Marant boutique. I rarely see the same people working which maybe is a good thing. I love the clothes which keeps me coming back and from only giving this review one star, but the customer service is hit or miss. As soon as I walked in yesterday, I was greeted by a pretentious kid with glasses wearing a forced smile, who took one look at what I was wearing and decided, "nope"! Really? In this day and age, we're going to assume someone has no money to shop there or isn't worthy of visiting the shop because they're dressed comfortably? It was a humid day in NYC, folks. Even if I misunderstood his look, it was clear I wasn't the type of person he was interested in helping. There's no better feeling than to be asked a question by the staff and then be quickly dismissed before even finishing your reply and/or met with a fake laugh. I did make a purchase there and will continue to buy from Isabel Marant but maybe online is the way to go. Snooty customer service in high-end shops is so Pretty Woman circa 1990. Big mistake. Huge! If you want to know what great customer service feels like, visit the Henrik Vibskov boutique just down the street. Seriously, we live in a world where there are enough aholes out there doing ahole things, do we really need to go out of our way to be a**holes to people in a clothing boutique who are there spending...
Read moreWorst shopping experience I’ve had in years.
Came in to try on a blazer and shoes, the woman, sana, took about 10 minutes to get me the things in my size. I put the blazer on hold, which was advertised as $500 on the tag. When I came back later to check out, the woman who helped me was incredulous that I couldn’t remember the saleswoman’s name who again took 10 minutes to wrap my bag.
Most importantly I noticed the price was far higher at checkout than I had expected. When I asked about this, the saleswoman rudely pointed out that their prices were actually in euros, even though we are in a US store. I then checked the tag and I saw that it was in fact in dollars. Everywhere else they stock this blazer online sells it for...
