This business advertises a base price but adds a credit card surcharge at the point of sale without prior disclosure, which is especially concerning since the surcharge exceeds the 4% limit permitted by New York State law. There was no visible signage or indication about credit card surcharges, and customers were not informed of the higher price for credit card payments upfront. For example, I went in for a nail service priced at $90.00, only to be told at checkout that an additional $5.00 would be charged for using a credit card. Another customer was charged an extra $4.00 on a $66.00 service. This practice is not only deceptive and unfair but also violate state regulations, bordering on fraudulent behavior. Customers have the right to be informed of all fees in advance to make informed decisions. I am reporting this business to the NYC Department of Consumer and Worker Protection Consumer Services Division.
Additionally, the service itself was subpar—the gel application looked like a glob of paint on my nails. I strongly advise against getting your nails done at this place. Poor service combined with unethical business practices make this establishment...
Read moreShoulder massage was great, pedicure was just ok. I asked for just the regular pedicure, regular polish. She cut my toe nails before soaking/cleaning my feet, which I thought was odd. The water was luke warm, no jets. She sped through some of the most important parts and reason I get pedicures - clearing out the dead and dry skin around the nails and scrubbing the calluses. A different tech gave me a 10 minute shoulder massage after and for only $14 that felt absolutely amazing! My total was $49 (would have been cheaper by a few bucks if paying with cash) so that means my pedicure was only ~$30-$35. That seems pretty cheap to me so maybe they just gave me the quick, nothing special version? Probably won’t go back though. Massage chairs also were loud and squeaky and uncomfortable so I...
Read moreI used to come here weekly and now it’s very rushed, sloppy, and my manicures barely make it through the day. There are other salons on the same street that are a better use of time and money.
I got a French manicure with dazzle dry (long wear polish for additional cost) and it lasted less than 24 hours. I went back to have it fixed with dazzle dry again thinking a solid color would last longer and within three hours, eight of the nails completely popped off as if they were acrylics. Both times the salon was busy and they didn’t take more than 10 minutes with me. I get manicures regularly and they normally last at least a good week and I’ve never ever seen this happen twice from the same place. I had to run to target at 9 PM and buy new nail polish and...
