I love going to mass at Blessed Sacrament. It's a beautiful neighborhood sanctuary tucked away on West 71st Street. Sometimes I pop in during the week to pray on my own or light a candle for friends or family members that are struggling with ill heath or for our country and those who are recovering from the recent hurricanes, or fires or mass shootings. It is a church where people have been coming to for at least 150 years, it's a church where you shook feel safe welcoming and inviting. They've been helping the neighborhood for more than a hundred years from clothing the food drives but just being a safe sanctuary. This is a wonderful community amidst the city’s chaos. The family mass is precious with the children actively involved. Father Nolan delivery his homily from the center isle and included the children in a catechetical lesson about Hallow, All Saints’ Day, and the current Mass of all Souls Day.
