J.Crew Men's Shop — Local services in New York

Shopping has always been a stressful and sometimes shame spiral inducing experience. My weight fluctuates more than I'd like to admit. This has been especially true post pandemic. None of my summer clothes have been fitting right, and I haven't been feeling particularly good about myself. Today, I decided to stumble into J.Crew just to see what they had going on. I was immediately greeted by Al Jean-Pierre at the door. He made me feel welcome and seen. He spent about an hour with me, going above and beyond. He wasn't just checking inventory and sizes, he was letting me know how long he'd be gone for, checking to make sure the fitting room was comfortable, holding items I liked behind the counter to free up space for me in the changing room. He was there for every look I tried on, constantly explaining why it worked or didn't work. He made me feel confident. He made me feel seen. He made me feel like a person. I have never had an experience like this while shopping. I walked in with no intention of buying clothes, and I left with new shorts and new shirts that not only fit me well, they make me feel confident AND I know how to wear them thanks to his expertise. I cannot thank him enough. Empathy and patience are rare to find nowadays, especially in NYC. Honestly the best suit shopping experience I ever had. We worked with Joseph to try on some suits at JCrew with a group of friends (4 of us total!) and he was so knowledgeable and helpful to help us find our perfect suits we wanted. He was so patient and helped as he measured us, listened to what we were looking for in our wedding, then gave us advice on which colors and style/material he recommends. He went above and beyond giving us some cocktail drinks (amazing BTW), and then finding our sizes and complementary colors for the Ludlow suits we were interested in. He gave great commentary on how a suit should fit, what things would need to be tailored, and how to find any other shirts/shoes/accessories we may need. Such a amazing and down to earth guy and his passion really comes through. Highly recommend anyone looking or just interested in the suits that JCrew has to offer, to ask for Joseph and he will definitely find the best suit for you. J Crew Men’s Store at Colombus Circle, NYC, has become my favorite men’s store in NYC. I became an avid fan this past Autumn 2022, when I found many beautiful sweaters and clothing items in the store.

I want to acknowledge and thank sales associate, Jeffrey Cheng, who has provided me with fantastic customer service from the first time I met him last Autumn 2022. Jeffrey is kind, friendly, and has provided detail oriented, attentive, exemplary customer service. I sometimes stop by the store when I am in the neighborhood to see what new items, and to see if Jeffrey is working, to say hello to him.
