Kristen has changed my life. I had been dealing with uncontrollable acne- of all types- (cystic, blackheads, white, red, irritating, painful, you name it I had it) for two years (I went to every spa, dermatologist, skin care facility in the city, and had wasted so much time and money with people who either didn't care or didn't have the knowledge). I was very insecure about my skin, to the point where I wouldn't want to leave my house. When I met Kristen, I had just come from a dermatologist appointment where their quick fix was for me to go on Accutane. I first came to see Kristen over nine years ago when she worked at a salon on the Upper West Side. After leaving that location to work for Eminence Organic Skincare, Kristen continued to care for my and my partner's skin with in-home visits. Over the years she has helped my partner with breakouts and dryness, while teaching me how to care for my skin through hormonal, aging and seasonal changes (including dermatitis). There are so many things about living in New York that affect our skin; from lifestyle, such as stress, lack of sleep; to the weather – dust, cold, dry winters and hot, humid summers.
