Consistently amazing results that will last me through multiple seasons! I've been coming to Sanda for years now for my color - and to Lance's salon in general for any of my hair style needs. Everyone from the front desk to shampoo to artists are all so friendly and great to be around! It's so fun to go in and I never have a bad time. Extra props to the shampoo and prep team - you guys work wonders!

I typically have long mermaid hair - dark dark brown east asian locks - and I love getting my color done from Sandra. She is a true artist and employs hair painting techniques (balayage, the works) so that your hair really looks natural after coloring - natural, but never boring! Truly, your hair becomes her canvas and she is the painter! It's such a great experience and she makes sure to listen to your own vision while giving guiding tips and suggestions that come from years of experience. If you want amazing color - YOU MUST SEE SANDRA! Trust me, you'll be coming back for more. (Truth be told, she was the one who painted my hair into a stunning ombre - months before ombre was the hot new trend years ago!)

As for my cut and style this time, I was BLOWN. AWAY by ANGELA!!! I spent a whole year chopping my own hair because I lived in a small beach town - so true to mermaid fashion, my hair was long and sun damaged and just a mess when I came in to see Angela and Sandra.

Angela understood I still wanted long hair, just not terrible hair. I was ecstatic about my transformation. She turned my hair into a layered, gorgeous, healthy, bouncy, long and stylish masterpiece! It's actually been a month after my visit, and my hair is falling and growing in so beautifully and naturally! I'm obsessed and in love!

Seriously, it is WORTH EVERY PENNY! THANK YOU SANDRA AND ANGELA!

I've never gone to a hair salon in NYC, as I live in NJ, however, a friend reccomended Lance Lappin to me as I was looking for a place where I could get the Brazillian Blowout done. I wanted to do this at a reputable salon since I've heard horror stories about places not getting it right and I'm really glad I did. It came out great. I was expecting a snooty atmostphere but that was not the case at all. It's very welcoming and the people are all so nice. I had JV do my hair and he's wonderful. He'll sit you down before you get washed to examine your hair to see what you need. I've always gone for an early morning appointment and they'll always offer me coffee and anything else to drink. I wound up going to JV for my cut recently and it was the best cut I have had in a very long time. I'm growing out my hair for my upcoming wedding but the layers he cut in were fabulous. I've also booked him to do my hair for my wedding after seeing photos and videos online, as well as for my experience with him. He listens to what I want which is so important. I love coming into the salon and feeling comfortable...

Given the fact that i live in California but stumbled on Lance Lappin by accident last year for a " go to" hair salon when away from home, should make my review more powerful. I have very long thick hair and been going to my same guy for about 9 years so it is a bit hard for me to have my hair in the hands of another stylist. They were very accommodating to me as a walk in and i was introduced to Regina. A lovely, confident stylist who listened to my request and worked her magic in styling my hair. I had an event last week and wanted my hair & make up done but Regina was not working that day however, she was contacted and she came in just for me. Dino, the make up artist was amazing and did my make up as natural but rich and again, i was complimented all night. Lance the owner is a very cool, simple generous man. There are many salons that are high end with high reviews in NYC but i need not look for any other whenever i am in NY because their genuine customer care is more that i can ask...
