After fellow Yelper Cristina G. came in one day with eyelash extensions (from a different lash place), I was intrigued. A quick search on Groupon showed me Lashlove NYC, which was close to my office. I bought the deal where you get 70 lashes and a fill-in. Beware that there are a few rules if you do decide to purchase the deal: 1. You can only go in Mon - Wed between 10 am - 5 pm 2. For the fill-ins, it HAS to be within two weeks.

My first experience was great. I wish I could remember the name of my technician, because she did a really fantastic job. The whole process took about an hour and fifteen minutes, and there were a few times when I dozed off. I asked for "natural" looking ones, since I didn't want them looking too long/fake. I was very happy with the results, and two weeks after that, the lashes were still pretty much intact.

So I went back for the fill-ins and got a different technician this time (named Candy). She was not so gentle, and I could feel every tug at my lashes. I was really hoping and praying that she was only removing the fake ones from last time and not accidentally pulling out my real ones. The process took about 45 minutes. Despite all this, the lashes still looked pretty good. However, it has only been one week and most of the lashes have already fallen out.

Final verdict: go if you have the option not to do the lashes with Candy (sorry to throw you under the bus, girl). If you don't want to chance it and location isn't an issue for you, then there are tons of other Groupon...

I came here once as I was walking by and I the shop caught my attention. First time I came to get some information and the front desk reception was really nice and informative. I finally came in a few days later (without an appointment) I waited about an hour before I could get serviced, which I said I didn't mind waiting for. At the time there was a special where I believe it was 90 lashes for 60+ (also depending on quality of lashes). I went with regular mink. The process took about an hour and it was very peaceful, I even fell asleep for a bit, it stung a bit sometimes because I think the glue may have touched my eyes a bit.

All in all , the outcome was beautiful. As it was my first time I didn't want anything too dramatic because I wasn't sure of how it'd look for my eye shape. Noone could even tell I had extensions. I didn't know the name of my technician but she was friendly and even complimented me on the outcome which I think she was happy with as well.

The lashes didn't last very long, I don't know if it had to do with the glue or the lash quality. They either made my eyes itchy or fell out easily sometimes. The application was pretty and the special was great which I hope they continue to keep. As far as the quality of the glue and making sure it doesn't get into the eyes they could work on that.

I...

This is my second and last time coming to Lashlove.

I was very happy after the first time I came to Lashlove. They listened very carefully to my request for classic, natural looking lashes. The technician (unfortunately I didn't get her name) was gentle, and I could barely feel her working on my eyelashes. My lashes stayed full for about 4 weeks and never looked spotty or wonky.

It's been 2 days since I had a refill for the same look as before. It was an uncomfortable experience and still feels like it. I had a different technician and asked for the same look as the first time. She started with plucking off the rogue eyelashes which did not come off very easily! It felt like birds pecking my eyelids. The rest of the session felt fine. I inspected my lashes when I got home and noticed there were a couple bunches that were under the lash line. They make me eyes look droopy and are obviously out of place. I've also been noticing a significant amount of lashes falling out which hasn't happened to me before. I will update my review once I see how full the lashes are in the next couple of weeks.

I wish I had the same experience as the first time but unfortunately I will not be...

Really disappointed by customer service interaction. Wanted to schedule an appointment with them but it was already after business hours. I found a Groupon which I purchased, needed the lashes done on Friday and read the fine print to see if there was any indication of specific days the groupon could be used. The only instructions were to call to make an appointment which I couldn't do because it was after hours. I made an appointment online and indicated I had a groupon. I received a text in the morning saying my groupon could not be used on Friday, and when explaining this didn't appear on the groupon description I was aggressively reprimanded for not calling to make the appointment ( even through I scheduled it after hours). Funny thing is, if the information was on the groupon I would have simply booked an appointment through there website in which cases all of the profit would have gone to LashLove. So now I am stuck with having to refund my groupon and no lash appointment. Would not go to a place which treats potentional customers in this disrespectful way. check out the texts.

Do not go here for a las lift. My eyelashes are destroyed. I went here for a lash lift and tint 10 days ago and left with them overly curled so they go back over themselves. Obviously, this looks insane. They told me to come back in a week to have them fixed. I had them "fixed" two days ago and they made them worse. They are all bent and crimped. They have hard dents in them and the ends are spun over. It makes me eyes looks insane. I am so so upset. I can't have this corrected because it will over process them. So for a month I have to look like this. I read online this happens when the tech puts the solution too close to the ends of the lashes. Its the glue placement.

I have been a loyal customer here for years and this is my very first review. Frankly, I have been quite worried that the store might be closed due to the pandemic. I am very happy to see that the store continues to open. I have been coming to this store during Happy Hours (weekday mornings) to enjoy the decent discounts for quite a few years. As far as I know, the prices after the Happy Hour discounts are the lowest in Manhattan.
