Laundromat Authentic Cleaner — Local services in New York

When I stay with my laundry the whole time, things are fine. But twice now I left for a short while, came back, and found that the machine settings had clearly been changed. One time it looked like water had been added after the wash finished, and another time I set the dryer to high heat for towels, only to return and find it switched to the lowest setting. Both times this cost me hours re-washing and drying clothes. When I asked the staff, they brushed it off and acted like I was imagining it, which was really frustrating. Because of that, I don’t feel comfortable doing laundry here anymore and I’m switching to another place. On the positive side, the woman who does the sewing/alterations here is excellent. She repaired several pairs of pants for me with matching fabric so well that you can’t even tell they ever had holes. It’s a bit pricey, but her work is top-notch and worth recommending. This place is completely unreliable!! They had 4 days to clean 1 pair of dress pants! I could not wear my pants to a wedding because they did not honor the Ready By date on the receipt. I was assured it be ready by Tuesday 11/5. I spoke with the lady worker and her reason is because she is too busy, so it wont be ready on time. The fact that they couldn’t clean 1 pair of pants in 4 days and not honor the Ready By date is ridiculous! Dont waste your time coming here, take your clothes somewhere...

They are false advertising their operating hours, the ladies who work there start closing everything down at 8:30pm and don’t let you know that if you have clothes to dry after 9pm you won’t be able to dry them completely because they expect all machines to be off by 9:30pm.
