My grandmother lived here for the last 37 years and recently passed. Her apartment had been the meeting place for all life milestones & holidays to which the staff had an open door policy with our entire family. Upon her passing, we showed up to host the shiva with family and friends and we were blocked from entering by the head of security who claimed there was paperwork we needed to get signed and approved by the courts before being granted access. They then threatened to arrest us if we went inside even though we all have our own set of keys! The disrespect was egregious and immoral toward a family who has only showed respect and humility in the 37 years we were here. They told him it was illegal & âagainst media policyâ to take pictures of the building, even though he wasnât anywhere on the property. The camera man refused to leave because he was in public, so then security began to follow him around & called the police. Security guard Kevin originally introduced himself as police & an âofficer of the buildingâ. Security guard E. Graham then came outside to further escalate the situation.    Read more150 West End Avenue at Lincoln Towers is the perfect oasis. The building is well-maintained and the staff is super helpful and friendly. I feel very lucky to have found my "home". Sitting on the grounds or riding the elevator, most of the residents are incredibly welcoming and surprisingly open to chat, which as most New Yorkers know, that's unheard of đ
