Last Friday, I had the pleasure of hosting my birthday party at Color Me Mine with a group of nine. It turned out to be an absolutely delightful experience, thanks to the incredible staff, particularly Morgan, Kendall, and Sierra.
From the moment we arrived, these three individuals went above and beyond to ensure our party was enjoyable and memorable. Their attention to detail, enthusiasm, and professional demeanor set the tone for a fantastic evening. They were attentive to our needs, offering guidance and assistance with the pottery painting, making sure everyone felt comfortable and creative.
What truly stood out, however, was their kindness and willingness to go the extra mile. After the party, I realized I had made a mistake on my piece. When came back and asked if I could fix it the next day, Morgan, Kendall, and Sierra were more than accommodating. They allowed me to re-paint over my mistake.
Their exceptional customer service made my birthday party worry-free and enjoyable. It's rare to find a team so dedicated to creating a positive experience for their guests. I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a unique, fun, and well-organized event ā you won't be...

There was free ice cream being given out to customers. When I asked for some for my daughter, I was told we had to wait until we were seated. Fine. We waited. Got seated. Then got ice cream.
But not even 20 minutes later, a white couple walked in and was immediately offered ice cream before even checking in or sitting down.
So explain to me why my child and I were told to wait to be seated, but they were offered service immediately ā no questions asked.
This is blatant unequal treatment, and Iām not sugarcoating it. Itās 2025 and this is still the kind of energy being handed to Black families in public spaces?
That moment ruined our visit. It was humiliating, and Iām still furious. Do better. I never want to return. To be clear there was no line or crowd around the ice cream station when we walked up that was a good way to dodge accountability though and clearly another person of color had a very unwelcoming experience as well. It seems to...

Incredible service, friendly faces- but horrible pricing. I checked their BRANCH website a month ago and saw the listed price of objects, ranging from $18 ~ $55. Once I got there, the prices were outrageously high!! Turns out the pottery items on the "Upper West Side Branch" website were showing the pricing of items in different regions of the US. The cheapest item available was a plain small mug for $26. If it was not for the kindness and incredible service of the employees, this review would've been a 1 star.
If you live in NYC and have a tight budget, I would HIGHLY reconsider visiting this branch. I think the Tribeca location may have cheaper pottery pieces, but I would call them and confirm. The company needs to clarify and show their prices transparently instead of baiting customers with untrue prices and placing them in awkward situations!
It's a fun activity but too expensive. Thank you employees- you were the best part of...
