The cancellation policy is very strict and not accommodating. I couldnāt get in to the building on my first visit because i pressed 2 instead of the suite no. 201 on the intercom. So i missed the class and was charged for $20. I emailed to explain but the owner didnāt believe me. I was frustrated on how unaccommodating the owner is for a first timer. After few back and forth, the charge was waived but left me a very bad impression. Today someone was struck by a train near 65 St. station. I was stuck on E train for over 45 mins, without network. I tried to text them about missing the class. The moment I got off the train, i called the front desk and explained the situation, she said sorry and instead of charging for $20, she will charge me $10. I was furious on how they run the business on trying to make profit out of cancellation fee for events that are out of my control. She asked me to talk to the owner, i didnāt want to waste my time to repeat the same thing, thatās not much to say more as I sent the service alert on MTA app to them. I should have bought just a single class instead of new members trial. Thatās my advice to anyone who wants to check out the studio. Donāt commit to a monthly package until you try it out. Another inconvenient fact is the bathroom is outside of the studio shared with other suites on the same floor. The condition of the bathroom is comparable to those at train station. Originally I want to try a closer studio but i rather spend time traveling back to my usual studios (The Yoga Room and Hotyoga4YouRegoPark) with understanding and accommodating staffs. The hoops they made you jumped through to waive cancellation fee even for the first time is ridiculous as you can see from other reviewers. Not going back.
Itās a convenient excuse to say the cancellation fee is requested by the community and the business owner is getting the profit for charging a class plus cancellation fee. The cancellation fee of $20 is higher...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI love this yoga studio!!! Iāve been practicing here for a year now and I am here to sing their praises. The studio itself is run by owner, Joneil, and he takes wonderful care of it. It is always very clean and welcoming.
I joined the studio while still recovering from a very traumatic broken leg injury. At first, I had to modify a lot of my poses due to limited strength and range of motion. The teachers were all very caring, always giving me alternative variations when needed.
If you are looking to be challenged by extremely knowledgeable teachers, this is the place.
I regularly practice with Denise. She is a tough cookie and I love her for it. Her style really resonates with me. She builds her practice with layer after layer of progression. I have gained so much strength, flexibility and endurance because of the way she teaches.
Joneil, the owner, also teaches. His classes are the most fun. Itās nearly always the case that he asks us to do some insane/impossible, pose which initially has me thinking, āthatās impossible!!ā. Yet, here I am doing these āimpossibleā poses. I have never had a teacher challenge me the way that he does. I look forward to every time I take a class with him.
Sabrina, what can I say about her? She is the kindest, sweetest, most caring teacher. Her gentle practice really warms my heart. My soul feels centered after practicing with her.
All, and I do mean ALL of the teachers are exceptional.
If you are in search of a studio, look no further. This studio...
Ā Ā Ā Read morePlease donāt book any prenatal yoga sessions with Jennifer Pinna at Living Yoga. If you do, do not purchase a package, because you will lose it without any form of accommodation.
My homegirl bought me a 5-week session as a gift for my pregnancy. She initially booked one class for me. I attended and liked it, even though parking was difficult. After I shared my positive experience, she surprised me with a full month of paid sessions.
Unfortunately, my job had already finalized my schedule a month in advance. I called and emailed Jennifer to let her know I wouldnāt be available on Sundays and asked if she had any other available days or weekdays I could make up the sessions. She said no.
I explained my situation, and her response was that my friend shouldāve known my schedule before booking with her. I told her it was a gift and that I didnāt even know Iād be scheduled to work Sundays in June. Later, when my supervisor said I could switch to working Saturdays starting in July, I asked Jennifer if I could move the sessions to next month. She said no again.
She didnāt try to work with me at all or offer any flexibility. I ended up losing 5 fully paid sessions. Thatās terrible customer service. I would never recommend anyone to Living Yoga. They donāt answer the phone, respond late to messages, offer no accommodations, and make zero effort to reschedule or communicate.
They really just take your money and run. Iām very...
