From the moment we walked through the doors, Yahya—the owner—greeted us with genuine warmth and humility. His kindness immediately set the tone for what turned out to be an exceptional experience. The ambiance is absolutely beautiful, with a stunning blue-and-white color palette and thoughtfully designed interiors. The chairs are modern, polished, and spotless, and the marble flooring gives the entire space a sleek, luxurious vibe. Throughout the café, you'll find artistic graphics and writing celebrating Yemeni architecture and culture, adding to its charm and authenticity. The staff were busy but incredibly attentive, ensuring every guest was well taken care of. Their dessert selection is impressive—as you can see in the photos—and we especially loved the pancake bites drizzled with pistachio, Nutella, and Biscoff. We also ordered the Azal signature coffee, iced lattes, and a few other drinks. Yahyah even surprised us with a complimentary hibiscus refresher, which was such a kind gesture and really refreshing. The space is massive, making it ideal for casual hangouts or even larger gatherings. There's also a back area currently under construction that looks incredibly promising. Once completed in the next 5 to 6 months, it will feature an upstairs section and a backyard that can easily accommodate 100–150 people. Overall, Azal has an amazing menu, a phenomenal staff, and an owner who truly cares about his guests. Can’t wait to return and see the new expansion come to life.

Forest Hills just got their Yemeni-American style coffee house that is affordable! Azal Coffee has a pretty spacious store and they serve Yemeni-American style sweet delights that look very tempting. The decor is quite chic, giving a modern touch that matches their interesting menu. While it's not the quietest coffee house, you might still find a corner to work on your laptop. During my visit, I tried their Iced Mofawar ($6.49 and I added a splenda), the HoneyComb Bread ($7.99) and 5 pcs of Macarons ($2 each). The Iced Mofawar had very strong cardamom flavors and it was a bit overpowering for me, but the change in taste was evident as it's very different from any American style coffee. The HoneyComb bread was huge but quite dry on the inside vs being moist. My most favorite items were the Macarons, and I got five different flavors to try - I'd highly recommend them! One thing that they could improve on is having the food item names and their prices visible. It was pretty annoying to ask the cashier multiple times "what is this" and "how much is this" and it also wastes both the cashier's and my time. And by the time I asked questions, more customers entered the shop and I felt uncomfortable holding the line.

Nicely decorated, bright and welcoming with a lot of seating. Good for small or large groups. Closes later than most coffee places in the area. Ordered at the counter and waited for the buzzer to go off to pick up our order. Have been there a few times for hot and cold drinks: My husband and I got the Azal coffee - strong, bold coffee flavor; but both of us got upset stomachs though. Pistachio pleasure was good but sweet, a milkshake consistency with pistachio cream and pistachios. Ginger milk is very gingery, not for me but others liked it. Jubani and Sana'ani, made with coffee husks, tasted like a tea-coffee combination. Can taste flavors from the spices in the Jubani, while Sana'ani is more of a mild coffee. Pastries/dessert items available but haven't tried yet. Prices not labeled so have to ask. Restroom available. Just off Queens Blvd and on 71st Ave so can get there via train or buses. Metered street parking is usually hard to get in the immediate area, unless a little walk is ok.

Exceptional Coffee, Atmosphere and Service. They bring high quality and diverse flavors. I love the Authentic flavors. Turkish coffee and flavors of Middle east with cardamom were also great. It's a great place to go on a date or for desert. It's sad to see reviewers who gave 1 star (strangely all seem to have come in the same week in a row). I haven't seen a single instance of vape or smoke nor any wrong treatment of employees. Maybe these people are just jealous 🤔 Yes! There is sometimes a wait, because the craft their drinks from scratch, but they give you a buzzer(pager) to let know when your order is ready. Strangely people will happily wait at La Boulangerie (the French place) for over 20 mins in lines just to place their order and then another 15 mins to get it prepared. Their drinks are NOT overly sweet. They ask you how sweet you want it or choose to not have any sweetener. I guess people are used to having their coffee from chain franchises who just pour you coffee in paper cups. Oh! And have you noticed the pumps of simple syrup those places put in your most loved Frappes? Quality takes time! Have some patience for a better experience. Give others...
