Edit: adding in a picture. It’s still so crazy to me that they thought this was in any way acceptable. And on top of it they thought they had the right to call my last haircut horrible as if this wasn’t a literal horror story all around. The fact that they let me pay anything at all to mess up my hair and be harassed is insane. (Note the lack of an offer to fix their mistake in the reply) The person who cut my hair (Yelga or something) asked me if the last time I cut my hair was a year ago but I didn’t understand what she said so I just smiled and nodded so she proceeded to tell me my hair was “so ugly” and I need to “tell my boyfriend that I need to cut it every 3 months” (as if I need to go through him to get a haircut instead of getting it on my own). Obviously this was upsetting but she was in the middle of cutting my hair so I was just not going to say anything because I didn’t want her to do it badly. She did it badly anyway, I’ve literally never had anyone cut my hair so aggressively and fast, she was barely looking at what hair she was holding for half a second before she chopped it off which was off putting. It felt and looked like when people make those funny videos of impulsively cutting themselves bangs in one snip and it turns out badly. Despite this I was just going to suck it up and make a mental note to never come back but when she asked me if I liked it when she was done and I said “yeah it’s fine” she started getting defensive and offended and gave me a mirror to look at the back to which I said “yeah it’s good it’s fine” because I wanted to leave. (I couldn’t even really judge how it looked because she only dried my front pieces and only ran the dryer through the rest of my hair for like 10 seconds) At this point she starts asking me “What, you liked it before?? That was so ugly and horrible.” When she said this I’m tearing up because she’s humiliating me this in front of the whole salon but I’m still just trying to pay and leave instead of making a scene but my mother walks in because she has wanted to get her haircut as well and wanted to see how mine went. She sees I’m upset and asks what happened and explains that she’s my mom to which the person cutting my hair asks if she’s going to “beat her up” and says again that my hair was horrible and I need to “take care of myself” (mind you the last time I actually cut my hair was in June at Shay’s Place around the corner, and I’ve never had so many people notice/compliment a haircut like that before, they were just busy at this time so I took a chance on this place) - at this point I am crying and I will credit the owner for being nice and apologetic about the situation, despite her also calling me emotional as if it was my fault for reacting when one of her staff has been publicly insulting me. All of this to say once my hair actually dried I realized that it’s uneven. If the person cutting my hair was going to be rude you’d hope that she’d at least be good at cutting hair to make up for it but no, she’s rude and bad at her job. I’ve never written out a bad review of a place before but this was disappointing on so many levels.

The lady that did my hair was really nice! She did it really quickly, and gave me exactly what I wanted.

Stay away from this shop. Zhanna the owner of the shop is extremely unprofessional. Aside for ruining my hair while providing services to me on Jun 26th, she burned my extensions which she never wind up putting in claiming she gave volume to my natural hair and extensions were not necessary. Took my extensions out of the box yesterday to get them washed and styled by the professional and realized they were burned. I called the shop right away and was told by Zhanna to stop by. I did, Zhanna right away asked me if I can prove she did it. Ummm….there are cameras all over the shop, rewind it to Jun 26th 5:45pm and you’ll see all you have to see. Zhanna was blaming other stylist who in fact did not touch the extensions after Jun 26th. I wind up paying for the services provided to me by Zhanna on Jun 26th, only to come home and wash it off to re-style them. THATS HOW BAD IT LOOKED. BTW, I made an appointment to see zarina that day, who had 3 ppl ahead of me. I was not comfortable with Zhanna doing my hair as she ruined highlights for me prior. I told zarina I was going to leave as I was running late for my event. Zhanna offered to blow dry my hair and put the extensions in, I naturally just wanted to make it to the event on time agreed. Additionally, while waiting for zarina for an hour or so, Zhanna engaged a client in her chair in conversation about my daughters in laws making some rude and disrespectful remarks publicly about their personal lives.

I had to change my review. They had 5 stars before from me but not anymore. I know what I look like blonde. I have been blonde many times before in my life. I went in for a haircut but was convinced to do highlights. They came out very brassy and bronze. Yellow/orange. The woman doing my hair insisted it’s my hair pigmentation to naturally look orange and yellow because I am “Bangladesh” or “Indian” (even though I am not either of those). Right when she said that I got upset inside because she was trying to say it’s because of my race somehow that’s why my hair is yellow/orange. I think that is very racist to say or imply as if it’s my fault my hair is orange or yellow. Anyways, they toned down my hair and it masked the brassiness. But it does not look blonde. Now my hair looks like it has brown streaks. I don’t know why I paid $300 for this. Also I told her I just wanted a trim for the dead ends and now my hair is gone 3 inches. My hair was long before to my middle back now it’s just below my shoulders. I regret going to get my hair done. I did not want to cause a scene as they tried to rinse my hair but now this is the ugliest my hair has ever looked in my entire life. I don’t even know what to do except maybe to dye it myself with brown box dye to cover everything up. I am so upset my hair is short. I have been crying since yesterday, I can’t stop crying. I feel so ugly. I look so ugly. My hair is hideous I don’t even know how to fix it. This is the ugliest hair I’ve ever had in my entire life. It look me 2 years to grow my hair out and all gone because of the 2 haircuts I got here. Now my hair is ugly with a weird color and different tones.

(Mind you the reason why I went to get a haircut in the first place is because I got a haircut there 2 months ago and the lady botched it. I asked for layers and she used a razor blade to razor off to layers instead of scissors. My hair was so uneven and zigged, it got so dry so that’s why I decided to just cut off the dry ends)

I wanted to add on that when I went home all inside my ears, the side of my face and neck was dark from the toner. I don’t understand this is the messiest wash and job I’ve ever had. Never had this issue before. They washed my hair but didn’t think to try to get the toner...

I never write reviews about anything. But the awful experience I had in this salon today, made me waste 15 minutes of my time writing a review. I have been going to this salon for years. Zourina and Anna always did a good job with my hair, reason why I always went there when I needed a haircut. A little over a year ago I decided to grow my hair very long, so I had not gone there for over an year because I did not need a haircut. But Today I decided to cut 2 inches from the back, nothing else. It literally took less than 2 minutes for the lady to cut my hair. My hair was just washed, so they did not even need to wash it by the way. They had always charged me 25 dollars for a haircut. So when I went to pay I was expecting them to charge me something around that price, even though my haircut took less than 2 minutes. I was ready to pay with my credit card and tip the lady who cut my hair the tip in cash like I always did to Zourina and Anna. But to my surprise when I went to pay the owner charged me 45 dollars. I was in shock, and I asked her: 45 Dollars? I always pay 25. She said that was long time ago, prices went up. So I said ok, no problem. Before she swiped my card, she had the audacity to ask me if I wanted to leave something extra for the lady who cut my hair. I said hell no!!!! And I kind of feel sorry for not tipping the lady, because it was not her fault that the owner of the salon decided to rip me off. But at that time I was so upset that I did not think clearly. When I was back home I decided to visit their webpage and check the prices. And there I found out that the price for a haircut range from 25 to 45 dollars. Remember, as I said before I had gone there many times and they always charged me 25 dollars for a FULL haircut. And today the owner decided to charge me 45 dollars for cutting 2 inches from the back, straight, very easy, it was done in less than two minutes. So, even though I have nothing bad to say about the haircuts I had in this salon, I highly recommend you to check the price before you have anything done in this place. Otherwise you are running the risk of being ripped off by the owner, like it happened...
