Pretty unhappy with the service here. I'm giving more than one star because I've had pleasant experiences when I drop off my clothes and pick them up myself (except for that one time I found a keychain that wasn't mine in with my folded clothes). The people who work here are very nice in my experience, but like other reviewers, I really advise against dealing with their pickup/delivery service.
Starting with their pickup. I scheduled from 3-5. Someone came around 5:35. Whatever, people make mistakes, it bothered me, but not enough to not tip or think about writing a review.
Then came the delivery. I scheduled between 8-10 on a Tuesday night (tonight). At 10 PM, I called, asking about my delivery. A woman answered, apologized, and told me I'm next in line after another drop off in the East Village.
10:40 PM. No calls, no "On the way" texts. The place was closing in 20 minutes. I called again. "Hey...I think I'm going to go to bed." The same woman pleaded with me to bear with her and put me on hold, checked with the delivery person, and asked me to wait ten more minutes.
Finally, just before 11, they showed up. I buzzed them in. At 10:55, I got a text that my laundry was delivered. I went to collect it. There was nothing at my door. My heart dropped. I called back. Turns out they left it at the wrong apartment number on a different floor. I paid $75 (yes, $75!!!) for this??
I'm upset about the wrong apartment obviously, but I don't think it even would have happened if they weren't so rushed into making such a careless (and potentially costly) mistake. I understand they have a lot of laundry to do, tons of deliveries to make, etc., but that isn't an excuse to waste a customer's time. I scheduled that time for a reason. If they cannot make the time slot offered on their app, they need to change the time slots to a time when they know the laundry will be done and they will be able to deliver it. I would rather wait an extra day and have my laundry in my time preferred time window than be waiting up all night, not knowing if/when they'll show up. This has been a persistent problem for them for several months, according to other reviews. They need to understand their own limits and come up with a more efficient and realistic system. How has this not been solved yet?

Read moreI used Load Laundry for more than a year. TBH, I don’t know why I always gave them the benefit of the doubt. Their staff seemed nice and I tried to be patient when they would consistently miss pick up or delivery times. I forgave them when I had to turn up late to events because I had was stuck waiting for them to show up late to either pick up or deliver my laundry. I finally gave up this past weekend when (again after using Load Laundry for more than a year) they delivered my laundry to the wrong apartment ( not the first time), and I could not locate it. My apartment # is 2O. They delivered it to apartment 2D. They even shared a photo of it being delivered to the WRONG apartment. They offered no assistance, no refund and worse than anything offered nothing to replace my belongings. Instead, they sent me a lame text stating that 2D and 2O look exactly the same and that I should get my belongings back from whomever lives in 2D. Well, I have not. Not only that— I never heard back from Load Laundry, either. No follow up, NOTHING.
Please BEWARE of this service as they do not care about your time or your belongings.
It stinks that I am out of my belongings but at least I won’t have to worry every week about when my laundry will arrive and IF it will arrive ever again. I have given them 1 star, because I can’t give them a zero...
Read moreI'm usually not one to leave negative reviews, but my recent experience at this laundromat was so uncomfortable that I feel compelled to share. The place seemed decent enough upon entering, but things quickly went downhill when I encountered one of the employees.
From the moment I walked in, this particular employee seemed to have an attitude problem. Instead of offering assistance or even a polite greeting, they gave me unwarranted side-eye, making me feel extremely unwelcome. Throughout my time at the laundromat, I couldn't shake the feeling that I was being judged for simply trying to do my laundry.
To make matters worse, the employee's sour demeanor cast a shadow over the entire place, turning what should have been a simple and straightforward task into an unnecessarily unpleasant experience. I understand that everyone can have a bad day, but this was beyond the pale.
In the future, I will definitely be taking my business elsewhere, and I would advise others to do the same. It's a shame that the actions of one employee can ruin an establishment's reputation, but in this case, I simply cannot recommend this laundromat to anyone looking for a stress-free and comfortable...
