THEY NOT LIKE US!!Just got racially profiled in this place while my husband and I decide what to drink for his birthday weekend we are (African -American)a male worker followed and stared until I ask are you trying to watch us or are you a customer ?then he proceeded to pretend like he was going to offer us help before I ask was he a customer he wasn’t offering help until I called him out on his actions then they rudely stated if we don’t like being followed we can leave !!! I want to like this place. I do. The problem with this establishment is that it can get pretty congested when a lot of people are inside. This is in regards to 55+ club buying scratch offs. In addition, I have a very big problem with store workers watching me or feel as if I am going to steal something. They are aggressive in here for no reason. This is why I take my business to warehouse wine and spirits or Astor wine and spirits. Typical mom & pop shop with uptick prices on bottles and workers who look at you like you about to steal something. If it wasn’t for that, this place would be cool. However, it’s cheeks. It's a liquor store that doesn't take itself seriously. But I still like it. It's part of the community. They need to renew and fix themselves up though. New awning, better lighting. And take all that activity from the front door. Relegate the lottery further back in the store. Highlight and brightly label the spirits and wines. Encourage browsing. It's dank in there.The workers should be more engaged too. It's just a job for them. They're all men so form a friendly team. Or hire women, get some feminine energy in there. I think that they rely on deliveries. Like a warehouse. It's an old, old store. And that's obvious.It's just a job for them so it's just a place to stock up for me....
