I Can Do That NYC — Attraction in New York

We just enrolled for our second semester. Our shy daughter has really been coming out of her shell and getting excited about using her body, her voice, and her mind with her classmates and teachers in this terrifix class. And it extends into confidence in her everyday interactions.

Melissa and Jeff are wonderful. Their energy is truly mind-boggling. I don’t know how they keep up that level of physical and creative activity but they seem to thrive on it, and the kids love them and love doing well for then.

My wife found out about I Can Do That NYC when she saw one of their productions downtown and excitedly coaxed them to come set up a class in our northern Manhattan neighborhood of Washington Heights. I Can Do That were super helpful in getting it set up, quick to get things up and running, were adaptive to the kids’ needs, and responsive to parents’ suggestions. Things got better and better, and now that we’ve finished our first semester we’re exited to start back in in January.

It’s a great blend of fun team building theater games, creative improv, and fun dance routines, all with plenty of laughs and...fun. How great for the kids to get a chance to be silly, free, and limitless in an environment where that’s what it’s all about. They’d hardly know how much they’re growing from it.

My daughter went to ICDT NYC when they first opened - she was 3/4 years old. She loved it then and she loves it now, as a 12 year old. She will choose to do ICDT over any activity and fears the day when she will be too old to attend. I have asked her many times why she loves it so much and she has told me that Jeff and his team (in addition to Melissa who she has interacted with in the summers) are all so incredibly kind, positive and fun - they make class such a warm, great learning experience. Incredible summer camp experience for our 7 year old daughter! Not your typical summer camp. The skills learned in just 5 days beats any other camp we tried. Singing, dancing, memorization, acting, collaborating, and most of all having the best time ever performing. Instructor and owner showed attention to every single kid and even took extra time to make sure every participant was feel comfortable.
