First of all, I want to thank Edgar, the guy who was at the main entrance who I first saw and asked regarding repairs and where to find the Le Pliage section of the store. He directed me to go downstairs to inquire about repairs. He was welcoming and nice. So when I came downstairs, there were a bunch of customers, I can't say there were a lot, but definitely not busy at all. I believe there were 3-4 sales associates down there. I could see that the others were occupied, So I saw a lady coming out from the stock room, I approached her with a smile and my line was "Excuse me Ma'am, I just have a question.." That particular sales associate gave me the most IRRITATED look, as if I ruined her day, so I just said "Oh you know what, I can just ask someone else you might be busy". She immediately said "Yeah I'm busy" still giving me a bad look. Instead of saying, "Oh I'm currently attending to a client right now, would you be able to wait or I can get someone else to help you", she chose to say yeah I'm busy. Such rude behavior. It's just unnecessary and unacceptable. I saw her as I was going up the stairs she was all jolly and smiling to her current customer. You seriously need to retrain your S.A's in this branch. Being selective on who you should be nice to? Seriously? Whoever that lady sales associate was, Ma'am, I do not know what I said to irritate you, but seriously, you need to be nice to all your clients. If you're having a bad day, don't take it out on people who approach you nicely to ask a question. I went up and Edgar helped me fill up forms for the repair, and I was supposed to buy a new Le Pliage but that certain sales associate just ruined it for me. Thanks a lot. I hope a lot of people get to see this so you change your...
Read moreWent this morning around 11am and store was not too busy. It was my first time at a Longchamp store so I didnâtât know what to expect. Upon entering, I was greeted by an employee. While browsing the 1st floor, I was approached by another employee asking if I had any questions, very friendly. I saw a bag I liked and opened it to check the price, no one said anything to me.
Once downstairs, I was checking out the pouches and the display for the tote bags, taking one out to open up and feel the material. One particular associate mentioned that if I needed a size to let her know. I told her thank you but I was just browsing at the moment. Couple minutes later, my boyfriend asked her about the displays and their sizing/prices to which she responded with an uninterested tone.
I had taken a display bag (Le Pliage handbag) down to compare the size against my figure to see if the small size worked for me. The same employee came up behind me and said âdonât touch the display bagâ and came back with a folded bag. My boyfriend and I found the tone she used to be rude. I had wanted to try the display bag since it was stuffed and I could see how it would look used as compared to the folded up bag that looks flat when opened. I was not told anything when I was upstairs but even then the employee downstairs could have told me in a nicer tone.
Employee at the Coach store (visited minutes prior) let me try on a $600 bag and even encouraged me to use a mirror to get a better look but I canât try on a $140 bag at Longchamp,...
Read moreThis flagship store is supposed to represent the brand in the States, but my experience there was far from impressive.
I went in intending to purchase a bag, but unfortunately, the rude and unprofessional behavior of this particular staff completely ruined my day. This female staff member, whose name doesnât sound as precious, assisting me was unnecessarily condescending and rude in every interaction. It was incredibly disappointing.
When I tried to address the issue with a manager, I was told he wasnât available, but the staff named âJamesâ tried to make things right by offering various things. From reading the reviews from a couple of locations in NYC, it probably would've been worse than running into James anyway. Although I appreciated his effort, it didnât make up for the horrendous experience. Did I get the bag? Yes I still did, thanks to James. However, I must commend him for standing in the middle ground fairly well by protecting his co-workers while accommodating customers, so I applaud that.
Overall, I regretted ever walking into that store as I couldâve gone to other locations in any city. Longchamp, I meant the whole world should be thankful for people like James who go above and beyond to support another human being. As for the rude staff member, perhaps they should consider seeking therapy or finding some positivity in their life before working in sales and spreading negativity to other human being simply wanting to live a peaceful life. Itâs truly disheartening, and I genuinely feel...
