Lot-Less — Local services in New York

EDIT. EDIT. EDIT: I had given this store 4 stars but now change that to less than 1 star. Here is why: I used to buy snacks, cereal and bars from this place. I had an instance 8 months ago where I had bought some expired things.I brought them back and got an attitude at the register. I wanted to give them another chance. So I went to shop 2 days ago (the date is July 31st 2021). Unfortunately, this time it was the same bad experience as before. I picked up cereal, snacks, granola and many protein bars that were all full price and EXPIRED...They had ALOT of expired food. And not just by a day or a week.We are talking months even years past their expiration dates (see pictures). They also had an exterminator crawling around on the floor and lifting up the bottom shelves to find evidence of mice. (Now I know why one bag of granola I picked up had a small hole in it and the air was not sealed inside any more.) I am disgusted and honestly, sad. This store used to be GREAT! NOW, It's just worse than ever before with no end in sight. I would not buy any food items here. Period!!!

Old review: Love this place. Great for snacks, cereal, pantry items like pasta, sauce, and jams. Good personal hygiene section and house hold cleaners , shower curtains etc.... They also offer a good selection of clothes for men and women...(Haven't bought any clothing so not sure of...

I go to all the Lot Less, Deals and Discounts, Dollar General, Dollar Tree, Family Dollar and other department stores so you don't have to!

And this is one of my favorite department stores in the NYC area. This specific Lot Less is probably one of the best Lot Less and overall discount stores I frequent.

Its clean, well organized, well stocked, helpful staff, fast lines.

I found plenty of items I needed and then some. And I mean EVERYTHING. Clothing, good quality food, electronics, candies, gifts, everything. And all at very reasonable prices.

It also helps that its in the hub of NYC so its close the subway lines, Port Authority, Grand Central, Penn Station. I've been coming here for close to 10 years and I'll be coming here for as long as they are around!

PROS:

-Right in the middle of NYC so close to many transports and attractions in case you want to pick something up real quick

-Very affordable prices

-A plethora of wide ranging items

-Helpful staff

CONS:

-Like any other place, there's moments where the lines can get a little long depending on the time of day (but its never been anything too crazy from...

Buyer beware! good-quality socks & many employees on the floor are nice & customer-oriented. -BUT BE CAREFUL & check pricetags & receipts! When checking out, the cashier insisted on charging a higher price than what was clearly-labeled on one (clearly marked & unaltered) pricetag. Both the cashier & the manager ‘Raj’ refused to honor the labeled price, which seems unethical and probably violates consumer protection laws. To add insult to injury (& as what seemed as retribution for my polite inquiry & later complaint), the cashier then erroneously charged me twice for the item (only noticed when I double checked the receipt about to walk out). When I realized & returned to the cashier who double-charged me (the higher price), she responded that I had had to wait for the other (occupied) cashier to process the credit. I then wasted another 10 minutes waiting for someone to correct/credit the ‘mistake,’ all while the original/overcharging cashier grinned with obvious delight. There’s something wrong with this picture on...
