I recently had the pleasure of dining at Mr. Broadway, and I must say, it was an absolutely delightful experience from start to finish! As someone who appreciates kosher cuisine, I was thrilled to discover this gem tucked away in the heart of the city.

From the moment I walked through the door, the warm and inviting ambiance enveloped me, setting the stage for a memorable evening. The staff at Mr. Broadway were not only attentive but also incredibly friendly, making me feel welcomed and valued as a guest throughout my visit.

Now, let me talk about the food - it was nothing short of extraordinary! The menu offered an extensive range of kosher delights, catering to all tastes and preferences. Each dish I ordered was expertly crafted, showcasing a harmonious blend of flavors that left my taste buds dancing with joy. Whether it was the tender and succulent lamb chops or the perfectly seasoned grilled salmon, every bite was an explosion of deliciousness.

What truly sets Mr. Broadway apart is their commitment to quality. The ingredients used in their dishes were undoubtedly fresh, and the attention to detail in presentation was second to none. The menu not only featured traditional kosher favorites but also offered unique and creative twists on classic dishes, making every selection a delightful surprise.

In addition to the incredible food, Mr. Broadway also boasts a well-curated beverage selection, featuring a variety of wines and cocktails that perfectly complement the flavors of their dishes. The knowledgeable staff was more than happy to recommend pairings, enhancing the overall dining experience.

Furthermore, Mr. Broadway's dedication to exceptional service shone through during my visit. The staff was always on hand to address any questions or dietary concerns, ensuring that each guest's needs were met with utmost care and attention.

The ambiance, food, and service combined to create an unforgettable evening at Mr. Broadway. Whether you're a kosher cuisine enthusiast or simply looking for a culinary adventure, this restaurant is an absolute must-visit! I can confidently say that Mr. Broadway has earned its place as a top-notch kosher dining destination, and I cannot wait to return for another delightful experience.

In conclusion, Mr. Broadway has truly mastered the art of kosher dining, providing an exceptional experience that is sure to leave a lasting impression. Prepare to be wowed by their delectable cuisine, impeccable service, and inviting atmosphere. Trust me, you won't be...

For years, this joint was known as Ben's. Now it's Mr. Broadway. Ok. No big deal, right? Wrong. Though the space is the same, the atmosphere has changed. The food has really changed. Ben's had the best sandwiches in the neighborhood. The neighborhood being The Garment District. I especially loved their brisket on rye with mustard & gravy on the side. A pile of not-too-thinly sliced, glistening brown, beef brisket with no adornments. Just the juicy meat. I'd sometimes get a side of Ben's thick fries. That was a lunch you could not do everyday. Once a month was a great treat. My company moved down 7th Ave to 35th street, so, I haven't been to Ben's since Mr. Broadway took over. I finally got there yesterday. I ordered the brisket on rye, naturally. I was very disappointed. The paper-thin meat was not brown, it was pink! In all my years on this planet, ordering brisket from many kosher delis in NYC, I've never seen pink brisket. It was a bit stomach churning. I lifted up the top slice of rye to get a close look at the meat. Though the sandwich felt warm, the meat looked uncooked. Oh, and it was veery fatty. I called over a waiter to ask if this was brisket. I wondered if I was brought the wrong stuff. Maybe it was undercooked corned beef. I was told yes, this is brisket. Ok, I'll give it a shot. I slathered mustard on the sand with and took a bite. Oy! It was like biting into thin, uncooked, fatty... something. The nauseating texture overpowered my tastebuds so I can't report on whether it at least tasted like brisket. I sent it back (I never send back food, but this was bad). The second sandwich was better. The meat looked cooked and it wasn't as fatty. It was ok. The gravy was not brown, it was the color of an Americano coffee. The flavor wasn't as beefy as I remembered Ben's gravy being. The fries were also disappointing. They weren't big, hand cut chunks of potato. They were fast-food restaurant size with a crunchy coating. A coating! And they were overly greasy. I did eat the sandwich. I didn't eat the fries. The Cole slaw and pickles were excellent. And they had Dr. Brown's Cel-ray celery flavored soda. My fave. I'll give the place another shot. For old time sake. But, I now know to order a sandwich with meat...

My recent experience at Mr. Broadway Restaurant highlighted a few areas in need of improvement, particularly in professionalism and the overall essence of fine dining. The hospitality was average, and my waiter, while trying his best, fell short of expectations. I found myself asking three times for a lemon to accompany my water, which seemed excessive, and when I later requested more water, the lemon unfortunately didn't come along with it. The portion sizes were quite light; the rye bread used for the sandwiches was unremarkable. However, the coleslaw and pickles were delightful—arguably some of the best I've encountered—but I suspect they were sourced externally rather than made in-house. As for the meats, specifically the pastrami and corned beef, I would rate them a C. They didn't hold a candle to Katz's or the former Carnegie Deli. A particular disappointment was when I asked for mustard; they presented me with a container of generic brown mustard. For a restaurant that seeks to embody an upscale vibe, I believe that even something as simple as serving mustard in a classy glass container with a proper spoon and lid should be standard practice. With a few simple adjustments, Mr. Broadway could significantly elevate the dining experience and attract repeat customers. Personally, while I may return for convenience, I didn't find anything about this visit that compelled me to come back in search of that “wow” factor except the french fries were delightful. On a positive note, the establishment was clean, including the bathrooms, which I appreciated. The atmosphere was friendly, and the staff genuinely tried their best, even if they didn't meet the standards of high-end waitstaff. It’s clear they want to deliver quality service, but the experience felt more casual than upscale. My intention in providing this feedback is not purely critical; instead, I hope it serves as constructive insight. With some minor improvements, Mr. Broadway has the potential to become a cherished spot for regular patrons, including locals. Thank you for...

We came to Mr Broadway for a quick dinner before a show and had a very mixed experience. I made a reservation for the restaurant, but when I arrived it seemed they had overbooked and seated us in the bar section instead. Because we were there, and the waiter for this section seemed to also be responsible for all the drinks and bartending (at a restaurant where 1/4 of its menu categories are alcohol!), it took a very long time to get our waters, and then plates with the starter coleslaw (I ended up just eating it out of the bowl). Our waiter was very nice but clearly over-booked - she made me a great mixed drink because I asked for something special. I got the steak and eggs sandwich which was phenomenal, truly a treat, especially for someone with high expectations for steak. On the other hand, my husband's chicken salad tasted like it was someone's first arugula salad - arugula is naturally quite bitter and you need a good dressing to counteract or complement the taste, but this was just bitter, and he was only really able to eat the chicken. I will say everyone was very kind and they got the food to us - and us out the door - admirably quickly. Just little things like overbooked tables and staff, missing plates, nothing to dry your hands on by the water station etc make a difference in what otherwise would be a very nice (and fairly affordable, given kosher fleishigs on Broadway!) night out. I am very open to going back to try to be disproven if I just caught them on a bad day. (As an aside, they just gotta take the sushi off the menu already! It's been at least a year that they've been "almost ready to offer" it.)

Last night I had the pleasure of dining at Mr. Broadway, the renowned kosher deli in NYC, which has recently moved to the old Ben's Delicatessen location. Despite the ongoing renovations, the restaurant looking like the must visit spot in NYC! The new, much larger atmosphere at Mr. Broadway adds a sense of grandeur to the dining experience. The spacious setting offers a comfortable and inviting ambiance, and i'm so very glad they they still retained having booths too. During my visit, I opted for the classic pastrami sandwich on rye, and it was nothing short of spectacular. The pastrami was perfectly seasoned and cooked to perfection, creating a savory and mouthwatering delight. The rye bread was fresh and complemented the flavorful pastrami, resulting in a sandwich that satisfied my cravings. Now the highlight of my experience was indulging in my favorite, the stuffed derma. Mr. Broadway has managed to preserve the authenticity and taste that makes this dish a beloved choice among patrons. The stuffed derma was rich in flavor, with a delightful combination of textures that left In conclusion, Mr. Broadway's transition to the new location at the old Ben's Delicatessen is promising to say least. I'm looking forward to returning to Mr. Broadway as the renderings of the new location which hang at the front door looks spectacular!
