Maria Tash at Nordstrom — Local services in New York

Honestly this was such an incredible experience in so many ways. To be transparent, I was not familiar with Maria Tash before coming across them at Nordstrom in NYC last weekend. My cousin and I went shoe shopping at the new Nordy’s (yay!!) and our associate proceeded to tell us about Maria Tash having a pop up just across the store in the fine jewelry area. After we finished In the shoe department, we walked over, super excited to do something like getting a piercing together. Sophie the piercer was a DREAM. So kind and friendly and gentle. I met up with coworkers the next day and told them about Maria Tash and my experience and they too felt they needed piercings. We went back to Nordstrom that day, and they each got a piercing (both were facing fears of doing it and so excited to cross something off their bucket list) and I got a second piercing! The jewelry is GORGEOUS, the staff is so very kind and helpful and Sophie made it all a breeze. Please please please do a pop up in Nordstrom (or somewhere... anywhere!) Chicago! I was hesitant to come by for piercing here because of the mix reviews. But so happy I still decided to come. My original appointment online was 2pm but when I came earlier I was advised to come back at 3pm instead due to another client ahead of me that arrived late. Good thing I wasn’t in a rush so I gladly waited. The staff who allowed me to look around the different pieces while I wait for the stylist was very helpful and sincere. As for the stylist, Niki, I have only good things to say! Thank you for taking the time to explain everything and for the meticulous step by step before the actual piercing. I was quite nervous and wasn’t sure what I wanted. Everyone at this store location was so friendly, helpful and calming. I felt like I was absolutely in the right hands to not only choose the location in my ear but also what jewellery to pick for that and how it would look. My piercings went super smoothly and I had 2 done - second and third lobe and Sophie is so skilled I barely felt a thing.
