Background and Detailed Explanation: I have been a long time Facebook user and have accumulated over a decadeâs worth of valuable personal activity records that hold immense personal and historical significance. Recently, I encountered severe issues as follows: When I connected to my home Wi Fi, I immediately received a WhatsApp notification stating, âYour account does not comply with our terms of service and is eligible for appeal.â I promptly submitted an appeal as instructed; however, within less than three minutes, my Facebook account was permanently disabled by a fully automated review system, preventing me from accessing, copying, supplementing, or correcting the important data I have collected over the years. Subsequently, when I attempted to log into Facebook and Instagram, both showed âAccount Disabled.â Additionally, I received an emailâa supposed security alertâwith the subject âYour Facebook accountâs advertising features have been restricted,â even though I have never run any ads. This indicates a significant error in the review process, as my account was erroneously flagged for violating community standards (e.g., alleged child exploitation), which I did not commit. Due to the suspension of my Facebook account, all Meta services, including WhatsApp and Instagram, have been affected. WhatsApp only provides automated AI responses, preventing me from contacting a live customer service representative to inquire about the suspension reason or to file an effective appeal.

This is directly related to my experience. "If you were banned from Instagram, AI might be to blame" âLink: https://bgr.com/tech/if-you-were-banned-from-instagram-ai-might-be-to-blame/ âRationale: Further evidence that erroneous automated decisions lead to wrongful bans on Instagram accounts, showing that this issue...
Read moreI created a personal Facebook account about 2 months ago with the intention of later making a business page to promote my photography business. On my personal account my only activity consisted of posting my own personal pictures of coins from my personal collection once a week for about four weeks. I then began looking into the process for creating a business page and was informed by Facebook that the first step in the process was that they would need to confirm my identity, which required providing a copy of my driver's license and my physical home address so an account confirmation code could be mailed. Maybe a day after providing my home address I attempted to log in and was greeted by the message that my personal account had been suspended and I had the option to appeal; no explanation was provided other than the generic "violation of community standards". I clicked on the appeal button, which provided no opportunity to ask any questions and simply stated to check back, and the next day when I attempted to log in to Facebook I received the notice that my appeal was rejected and that my account was permanently suspended; again, no explanation or reason was given, no legitimate violation was cited, and there was no opportunity to contact any customer support for answers. I have attempted to create a new personal account three more times since being suspended and each new account gets immediately suspended before I can complete the set-up process. My complaint is that my account was suspended without cause, Facebook / Meta cited no actual legitimate specific violation, all attempts to make a new account have been blocked, and there is no customer support email, phone number or web link to get any answers from Facebook / Meta to...
Read moreAs a licensed medical aesthetics business owner in NYC, Iâm deeply disappointed by how Meta has handled my Instagram accountnot once, but twice. Two months ago, my verified business page was suddenly disabled with no clear explanation. After weeks of appeals and identity verification, I was finally reinstated. Now, Iâm going through the exact same issue again.
Iâve submitted formal requests for my personal data under Californiaâs Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA)which legally requires Meta to provide users access to the information they collect. Theyâve ignored the request completely.
Sadly, Iâm not alone. This is part of a growing pattern affecting thousands of small businesses and creators. Media outlets like The Verge, WIRED, and The Guardian have reported the same issue: accounts being wrongfully removed by automated systems with no warning, no real human support, and no resolution.
Small businesses depend on platforms like Instagram to survive. We deserve better. We deserve transparency, legal compliance, and support from the very platforms we help build. Hope this help others to know your not alone and this needs to get fixed . Not one to write bad reviews but Iâm a young entrepreneur who recently relocated from Chicago to New York and my livelihood depended on this platform living in the middle of Manhattan and relying on Meta as my number one unit source itâs completely devastating and I hope this can get in the right hands someone could solve this growing problem . They also deactivated my Facebook that Iâve had for years and had all my photos and videos that I cannot retrieve. Iâve been out of business for two months because of this in the middle of Midtown Manhattan with my medical spa this is affecting me so much...
