These ppl have problems! Their main problem is that they're a racist business that ONLY ACCEPTS CASH! I actually gave them TWO stars. Plz read. DO NOT GO HERE AND BE AN IGNORANT CLIENT OR CUSTOMER. WE DON'T NEED IGNORANT PPL FREQUENTING THIS BUSINESS & PATRONIZING THEIR SERVICE. +1...There is no nail salon that does both hands and feet of ALL TECHNIQUES!!! better than this one! +1...Their location is in a nice neighborhood and it's clean for such a small place having a large clientele. their business is by *several public transportation routes, they're in New York city and only 3miles away from where I live. .... .... .... ... HOWEVER, instead of being a Five Star business, sadly, they are only a TWO Star business! and lost a star for each of the following reasons:
-1...For being so God Damn Rude to me, every time I went in there (85% of the time), ACCEPT FOR MY FIRST TIME, WHEN I WAS POPULARLY RESPECTED OR WHILE I WAS IN *GOOD RELATIONSHIP WITH THE THE MAN I WAS DATING THAT LIVED AROUND THE CORNER.
-2...Although their signs are not that rude: NO APPOINTMENTS! CASH ONLY! & A Wait 30-90MINUTES, or more! Too difficult to travel to just to get your nails done! Too far just to travel to another racist, classist, culturalist neighborhood uptown. (NOT ACCEPTING BANK CARD PAYMENTS ENSURES THAT THEY CANNOT BE SUED OR REPORTED TO BEAURAU'S OR AGENCIES THAT REGULATE MALPRACTICE AND ENSURES THAT THEY GET AWAY WITH PRACTICING RACISM & DISCRIMINATION FOR A PERPETUAL TIME. Their treatment of black customers is VERY DELIBERATE.)
-3....Again, their treatment of their "black" or undesirable customers is VERY DELIBERATE.They charge you extra money if your nails are NOT SHAPED SQUARE. They will ruin the your nails just to make it square. AND IF THEIR SALON IS NOT THE SALON THAT SHAPED YOUR NAILS SQUARE, THEY WILLL CHARGE YOU EXTRA, ESPECIALLY IF YOU TAKE CARE OF YOUR OWN NAILS, BECAUSE THEY CAN TELL! They don't even put clear nail polish on my nails after they're done. They flatly refused to do so the last time I was there.
I have spent a total of about $200 with this business, between 2014 and 2017..or earlier.
*I DONOT RECALL having a problem using their bathroom.

Ā Ā Ā Read moreI have been coming to this salon for over a year and although I love the way my tech does my nails I have had enough. To begin, the prices are high, and theyāve gotten even higher! But the services and establishment does not reflect that. Only a few of their techs do a job worth paying $100+ for. The salon is also so filthy even with a pandemic in full bloom. Iāve only seen one person clean their station before a new client during the pandemic.
The Vagaro booking feature is convenient but there is always some sort of issue: Hannah the owner likes to move around appointments times after youāve already booked, so your appointment time is never really set. Sheās pushed mines to earlier times than what Iāve booked last minute. They make you book an appointment for each step of your nail services: taking off your gel polish, filling in your set, cutting the shape down, adding a design, etc. so it is nearly impossible to get it all right and if you didnāt book exactly as theyād like they will refuse to service you or up charge you. They also charge an extremely high late fee, but make you wait to be taken care of, even with an appointment.
And the Hannah the owner is rude when addressing clients and gaslights people who questioned their work.

But I went to do a pedicure and I am very understanding person but the person that was doing my nails started off well, but then there was someone next to me that needed to leave and the person doing her nails didnāt know how to do her nails, so my lady had to switch over without communicating with me. and then they were going to have the lady that didnāt know how to do nails to do my nails, and I kindly said can I please just wait for the lady thatās doing my nails?. And they said ok. Shortly after another lady without communication came to me without greeting and instantly tried to do Gel pedicure to me, and I said Iām not doing gel, then she proceeded to do regular pedicure. Then she wasnāt going to put a base on me and I said excuse me can I please get a clear base first. Then I said ok I donāt think itās my day and Iām not getting the service that I deserved. I spoke to the owner and she told me I still have to pay full price and I said the $ isnāt the problem I am as kind customer telling you the experience that I am having and there was no way she was a bit accommodating. I was recommended by my friend and she said they do nice nails there (hand) she doesnāt do pedicure there. Sorry for this long message but I am business owner myself and this wasnāt...
