4.5⭐️. Such a great little spot. Service was attentive but not overbearing. I had the wheatgrass margarita (well, 2 of them) because they tasted like a green juice that I should indulge in. Shared the shrimp toast (literally shrimp on a toast) and the corona beans and when I tell you I’ll be dreaming of those beans for the foreseeable future, I ain’t lying. I had the mussels (green curry broth) and was delighted by flavor and the portion. My husband had the black rice bowl and while enjoyable, seemed a bit more like a lunch dish. It’s a cute space with cool people. We will definitely return!!!

We stumbled upon Dimes during the Canal Open Street fair and decided to sit down for dinner on a whim. The outdoor seating added a nice touch to the vibe, and service was friendly throughout. We had the miso chicken, salmon, shrimp ceviche, and Caesar salad. everything was fresh and tasty, though the ceviche was just okay. Portions were big and filling. They have a wide selection of alcoholic drinks, though not many cocktails on the menu but they’re happy to make something custom. Overall, a great spot for a casual, flavorful dinner with a good vibe.

Had one dish here and it was extremely delicious, the Pozole. As someone who has had pozole in Sunset Park and mom&pop places in Brooklyn/Queens, I found it to be as delicious. It’s an elevated version of what you might find elsewhere, but the flavors were still there and on point. Think: spiced, savory, slightly lime-y broth with delicious hominy (corn) and added sweetness from a sweet potato, along with shredded chicken. Greens on top to make it look pretty as well as giving some extra texture and flavor. A perfectly balanced dish!

DIMES CATER'S TO THE AREA APPEARING TO CARE JUST TO GET INTO PEOPLES POCKETS AND HAS NO REGARD FOR THE COMMUNITY OR A SENSE OF MORALITY I don't even want to give them one star that is much too generous and kind. I have been a shopper and loyal patron of Dime's for quite some time being a resident of Chinatown and a vegetarian I thought there store was a G-dsend. Earlier today I tried exchanging a purchase, nothing much 40$ but it was CBD tincture. The person that was at the register was clearly not educated on the products and told me what I was purchasing was the same, produced the same effects as another product I love, we exchanged stories. I get home, what I bought is nothing lik the product when I inquired. I go back to kindly ask can I have the initial product I wished to buy until he talked me into changing. They wouldn't, what's mono type of remorse compensation not even an apology and the owner got somebody else to tell me they were going to do nothing. She didn't even have the balls to...the lack of respect DIMES CATER'S TO THE AREA APPEARING TO CARE JUST TO GET INTO PEOPLES POCKETS AND HAS NO REGARD FOR THE COMMUNITY OR A...

THE WORST!!! Service was terrible - came in for brunch for 2 pax and requested to sit away from the sun. The server offered another table that was slightly larger and I ordered immediately while waiting for my friend to arrive. My friend was still on her way when my food was served and the server told me to move over to the bar if my friend didn't arrive and order soon (mind you, this was 15 minutes into me being seated). At this point, I was already annoyed and after I was done eating (which was 25 minutes after I was seated), my friend arrived but because of how disrespected I felt, I decided to just settle the check. The server then proceeded to criticise and yelled at me (in front of other guests) for hogging a larger table for 45 minutes. I paid in cash and he abashedly deducted tips from the change. HORRENDOUS - the first and last time I will dine there.

In response to the owner's reply, the server's behaviour and attitude was unacceptable. Never in my life have I encountered a service staff this RUDE and dishonest, claiming that I dined for 45 minutes when I was...

The food is alright. The decor is whatever, (their tables are too small and too tightly packed together) and the staff decent until I asked if I could sit at a corner table because the 2 person tables at the restaurant are tiny. Seeing as the restaurant wasn’t busy and my friends and I wanted to try a couple of things on the menu we thought it would be fine. She said no and that it was a “3 person table”. Once seated drinks were ordered then a couple walks in moments later and our waitress sits them at the “3 person table” we specifically asked for.

This left a bad taste in my mouth about the restaurant and lost my appetite. I asked her about it and she smiles and says “oh it just opened up” I understand you have rules but don’t blatantly lie to your customers in the face. Dimes is notoriously known for having bad staff but that was just bad business. Never...
