This has been my home for haircuts for about 6 years. I have gotten to know everyone there over the years and have never had a bad haircut (don't screw it up now Fred and Eric). The staff takes pride in their profession and are always trying to improve.
How did I start going to Old Tyme you ask?? Well, you didn't but I'm going to tell you. There I was in need of a haircut last minute (because I am bad at planning), walked in, and got Christine. I asked for my standard buzz cut to wich she replied "ABSOLUTELY NOT" and then proceeded to tell me how I should grow my hair out and cut it so and so. Cristine has since moved on but that level of sevice and commitment so that their clients to not look like fools has kept me there for 6 years.
They take walk-ins but an appointment will be better. This place is priced well for the service you get. Hot lather neck shave and hot towel treament are standard services to every cut. If you are looking for a cheap $17 cut this isnt your place unless you want your world rocked. It'll spoil you and you wont be able to go back to...
Read moreI almost never give reviews online, but arrived for a 2 month business trip, decided to come to the barbershop based on the good reviews but the haircut I got is the worst haircut I have ever got in my life. I explained very specifically what I wanted and also showed pictures. Didn’t even wanted a haircut just a cleanup behind the ears and neck and few cuts with the thinning scissors (explained it very well) instead got a full cut with the thinning scissors barely got any hairs left, all the top is not even or blended to the sides and the haircut gives my head the shape of an egg, looks so bad I don’t think I can go outside without a hat for the next 2-3 weeks. Even came back after I watched the disaster at my place to get something a bit fixed but nothing can change this horrific haircut. Everyday morning i watch it and I still can’t believe this is the result I got for 45$,...
Read moreWas looking for a quick trim before work, so I was pleased to see that this was open at 8am. I was not, however, at all happy with the result.
I asked the man for a 1 FADED UP and a QUARTER INCH OFF THE TOP. He proceeded to take a 1 blade and shear the sides of my head flat off, which is the absolute opposite of a fade. He then cut chunks off the top of my head, seemingly at random. It looks like there is a skunk or some other large rodent sitting on my head.
The worst part is, I think he knew that he messed up because the worse the haircut got, the more and more he started talking to me about how tough his commute is and how Thanksgiving is tough, as if to make me feel badly about thinking of complaining.
The cherry on top: The lady at the cashier cheerily asked me for $40 plus tip. The most expensive (and worst) haircut I've ever received. I was a laughing stock...
