I went in last Wednesday to get my nails done. Everyone was VERY nice- which was great! However, as soon as I sat down, I was informed that a very simple full set with gel polish would be $205. TWO HUNDRED AND FIVE DOLLARS? I didn’t want a crazy design or anything… just solid color gel polish on a full set. I immediately laughed and asked if there was a cheaper option. They informed me that I could get gel-x nails for $120. I was already destroyed at the fact that I made an appointment… I just went along with it. I had intended to get a gel pedicure as well, but decided I wouldn’t since the nails were going to cost an arm and leg. Sofy did my nails and she was very sweet. The nails do look beautiful. Were they worth $120? Absolutely not. I am very gentle with my nails. It has been 6 DAYS and I already have one popping off. Gel-x is supposed to last as long as acrylic; 2-4 weeks. And did $120? I expected them to last months lol.

Lesson learned. I will not be returning. I really respect the people working there, as they are very kind! But the prices are outrageous and they do not list them on their site or anywhere online.

If you’re anything of color do not come to this nail salon. As this woman told me due to the service not being done correctly the first time to return the next day. I came all the way from lower manhattan to return like she asked, not once did I ask for a refund I asked for them to repolish my nails.

When I returned first she asks as if she’s never seen a black woman, second she says I don’t think we can help you with the nails that we do third she took a blonde as I was still standing there asking to get the service fixed not for a refund. She says I think a refund is best calls her boss lies and now asks do I want to go to her “other salon” as in other salon for blacks I guess.

I wouldn’t give you a dollar or coin of my money after this now refund me in cash with the tip. THESE PEOPLE ARE DISGRACEFUL and she’s ASIAN at that not white not privileged Asian! Asking if I get my nails done in an area when I live in the she...

I have had several excellent pedicures here over the years. Last week I popped in just to get a foot massage because my friend told me how incredibly amazing one of the nail technicians was in giving foot massages. She told me to ask for a lady named Ritu, which I did, and I received the single best foot massage I have ever had in my life, better even that at some high-end spas in the U.S, and Europe! If you want to treat your tired feet to a special service, I highly recommend going there and asking for Ritu.

UPDATE: This place is still fantastic! I was up there last week for a pedicure, which was topnotch (as usual) and the vibe there is so "chill" and relaxing. On my way out I noticed a sign in their window announcing special "Early Bird" pricing: a 10% discount on ALL services from 9 AM to 11 AM Monday through Saturday. That makes it an even better value proposition for discerning...
