No day is perfect, everyday has its complications. The way you handle them is a true mark of someones character. Nani, the person behind the counter was handling a very tough “Karen” and the situation was handled extremely and with poise and great care for the customer and their products.
You dont see that much genuine care very often in service positions and it speaks highly of ones integrity and how the place of emoyment is ran and what kind of people work there. I stopped by and got some Beurre Bordier (the only other place I’ve been able to find it in the city is at Le District downtown at a similar price point) and pont leveque cheese, as well as the fig tarte, which caught my eye due to its sheer beauty.
The fig tarte was really exceptional. Perfectly crispy layered pastry, and the sweetness of the fig complemented by some sort of rich and possibly nutty (?) honeyed cream at the bottom. So good. So good!!!!

Maybe I made the mistake of not eating them right away as I was stuffed. I ate it after a few hours and thereby my rating of 4. Well, is that my mistake? I don't know, as I got a similar product that had a similar wait time and that tasted better.
