The dining room is very crowded; they clearly try to fit in far too many tables for the size of the space. The service was fine, though not especially attentive.

I had the worst croque monsieur I've ever had. The insufficient quantity ham tasted as though it came from the Wal-Mart deli section. It was accompanied in the lukewarm interior of the sandwich by so-called bechamel sauce which was not creamy as it ought to be, but rather in the form of a spread and of a very plain taste. Moreover, the bread was not toasted. They must have simply covered the bread in gruyere and placed it in the oven. This sandwich was insultingly bad and betrays very little pride on the part of the kitchen staff. In contrast, the friend calamari was quite good, with a nice breading and well-done sauces. The coffee and side-salad were fine as well. My companion reported that the lobster quesadillas were decent as well, though she noted that the lobster and avocado were both in chunks, leading to...

This restaurant sits right on Madison Ave very close to Central Park.

It is very cozy but super cute too.

I arrived right Brunch and lunch time and even though they were a little bit busy and already had reservations booked, they still sat me and took great care of me.

My server was Kate and she was very knowledgeable about their cuisine.

As an appetizer they serve popovers with strawberry jelly. The popovers doesn’t really taste like anything but the strawberry jelly more than compensates for it so be sure to eat them together.

I order the scrambled eggs and it came with bacon, leafy greens, potatoes and multi grain bread. I loved the entire combination but their bacon was by far the best bacon I have ever had from any restaurant. Not sure if they smoke it and what they do, but it is delicious.

I am so glad I went there for brunch, I received great service, the price was very fair and the food was also pretty...

Holey moley. Island is incredible. I had a great time last night at Island. Oh my God, Island was actually incredible. The atmosphere is really fun and the staff is remarkable. I'm so glad to be here and the environment is so pretty. Extremely helpful service with a terrific mood. Every single thing was fresh, healthy, and totally delicious. Deliciousness. Every thing I've tried so far has been delicious. Crew is incredibly helpful and will certainly help you with everything. The workers is definitely a highlight of this place because they are always fast, polite, and provide service with a smile! Their employees were all so sweet and attentive. All in all we had a very good time at Island and will certainly be back! Island, I cannot say enough great things about this gem. Overall amazing experience at Island with pleasant and accommodating service, will...

I am sorry, for 2 stars but it's just my opinion and I always try to be honest. The food was absolutely not what we were expecting. Seems like it was done in a such a rush and a chief wasn't really in the mood to cook at all 😏. Tuna salad one of my favorite at any place I go, here it was a disaster. The fish smelled terrible like it was spoiled, the salad wasn't fresh at all. I mean common, if you do something just do it 100% or take it out from the menu. The staff , I even don't remember who served us, coz it was different people. I am sure this place has a lot of customers who love it, just not my place at all. Will not recommend and won't be back. The only positive thing I can say, it was pretty much clean.

We came here for brunch today and had the Island burger and the crab cake sliders followed by the lemon cheesecake. The crab cakes were nice, the burger wasn't that great and the cheesecake was average. I did like the pop-overs that they gave instead of bread. The service was fine but the overall food experience was pretty average for brunch. It's kind of hard to compete on brunch when you have a Sarabeth's chain on the same block. The husband did say the dinner food was better though, so you may prefer to come for that.
