I took my designer sample wedding gown to Pinpoint Bridal in February of this year, after being referred there by 3 different bridal salons. The dress is a Stephen Yearick sample with heavy satin and extensive bead work.
At my first fitting, the dress was still way too big and needed more alterations. There was a section in the middle that was not laying flat and the bust line did not fit properly. Additionally, she had not taken the dress in enough in the hip area. I was assured that she would be able to make it fit properly and that it would be ready by my next appointment, which was 2 weeks prior to my wedding.
At my next appointment, the dress fit even worse. I was told that I needed a bra and that she could not bring the dress up to the appropriate neck line, because of how the dress was made. This is not true, and I validated this with the salon that I purchased it from, she made the alterations to the neckline too low and could not fix it.
I went and purchased a bra and returned for a 3rd time only to find that now she needed to sew the bra into the dress, she needed to cut the dress open and make more alterations, which she proceeded to do while I was still wearing the dress. She asked me to come back the next day with a bra and she would finish up. It was now 1 week from my wedding and this was causing a lot of undo stress.
I returned the next day with the same bra only for her accuse me of changing the bra because now it would not work and she could not sew it in as she promised the day before. I also noticed that the sides of the dress still didn't fit properly and that she needed to further take in the bust area. Once again, my dress was on the floor being cut open to remove padding etc while I'm standing there. I was told to leave the dress with her again and pick it up the night prior to flying out for my wedding. To her credit, she did seem to want to help my situation, but at this point the dress had taken 3 months to alter and still was not ready.
On the wedding day, the bust line looked horrible, it was too low, the midsection did not lay flat and the over all appearance looked sloppy. Do yourself a favor and do not take your dress here especially if it has a lot of beading and you want a stress...
Read moreAfter a mishap with the alterations department at the store from which I bought my wedding dress, I brought my dress to Pinpoint Bridal about two months before my wedding day. I needed some pretty significant work done to my dress, and I was met with "no problem, we can do this" instead of "this is really short notice, we'll do what we can" (like I had heard from another alterations place). Her sense of calmness and confidence in her work was very reassuring. She altered the size of the dress to make it fit me like a glove, added a bustle, built up perfect short sleeves on an originally sleeveless gown, and was beautifully creative in how she approached my every request. At one of my appointments, I requested she change one minor detail on the sleeve, and she took out her sewing kit and adjusted the sleeve on the spot! she wanted to make sure I loved the sleeve before I left the store. I cannot recommend this...
Read moreCollaborating with Remziye at Pinpoint Bridal for my custom wedding skirt, top, and blazer was an absolute dream. Because I had grown up designing and sewing dress-up outfits with my grandmother who recently passed away, this journey held special meaning, and Remziye made it truly memorable.
Her warmth and care throughout the process turned creating clothes into crafting cherished memories. We worked together to translate ideas from photos into a pattern, and from a pattern into a personalized design that perfectly captured my style. The fitting sessions highlighted Remziye's patience and precision, and her unwavering commitment resulted in a seamless fit.
I can't say enough good things about Pinpoint Bridal. For those seeking impeccable wedding attire and a heartfelt journey, Pinpoint Bridal is the place.
