Today was the first time I ever made anything on a pottery wheel. I had no idea what I was getting myself into, but Riley made it super easy to learn how to throw clay. She showed me how to slam the clay into the center of the wheel and keep it there, even though at first it was wobbling all over the place. With her help I was able to finally get it centered and stable. I really liked the way she broke down each step, from centering the clay to bringing it down to making the walls to finding the center and spreading it apart.

Read moreWe were group of 7, scheduled a class for 2 hours. At the beginning they took only 4 of us to the spinning tables, while others were just sitting, watching and waiting. When the 4 finished, the rest of us (3 other people) came to the spinning tables and the first 4 moved to the tables to start painting their items. It was VERY unpleasant and definitely not fair. The pottery experience was great, but they really made it unpleasant, because each one of us paid for two hours, and it's not a little money. But half of us only had 1 hour.
It happened on February 9th, under the name of...
