Horrible experience I felt extremely unwelcome. The workers there are just all around rude when I asked basic questions they wouldnt even bother to speak to me already making me feel really uncomfortable. When first walking into the restaurant I was ignored for about 5 minutes by all of the workers, I was the only customer standing that needed assistance in addition to the place being practically empty with everyone already seated far into their meals so yes, they were purposely ignoring me (and it felt a lot longer than 5 minutes with the way they were rudely staring and walking by me as if i didnt exist) before the workers started whispering about me to each other to finally get my order. In addition to this the food was not that good and was definitely a waste of the 64 dollars I spent. I dont know if its because I am not of the same demographic they are used to serving. But ive seen another review about someone experiencing racism at this place so I know I am not imagining things. If its a recurring issue, its a problem and its deeply saddening that they are unwillingly to even acknowledge the issue let alone apologize for it. In conclusion, dont go here you can put your money into a business that is much more respectful to its customers and that supports all people.

Read moreI had high hopes for Sususkino Ramen, but unfortunately, my experience was incredibly disappointing. The biggest issue was the ramen itself — it was overwhelmingly bitter. Ramen should have a rich, balanced flavor, but this was far from that. The broth had an unpleasant sharpness, almost medicinal, which completely overpowered any depth or savoriness I was hoping for.
When I politely mentioned this to the waitress, hoping they might address the issue or at least acknowledge the feedback, her reaction was shockingly rude. Instead of offering any apology or solution, she gave me a dismissive and condescending response, making it clear she had no interest in resolving the issue.
Things escalated further when I decided to leave. As I stood up, the waitress started banging chairs forward aggressively in a way that felt intentionally directed at me. It was not just unprofessional but outright hostile. It left me feeling uncomfortable and unwelcome.
I understand that restaurants can have off days, but both the quality of the food and the abysmal service made this a truly unpleasant experience. I wouldn’t recommend Sususkino Ramen to anyone seeking good food or even basic courtesy. There are plenty of other ramen spots that offer much better food and treat customers...
Read moreTried this spot after work with my boyfriend since it’s close to my office, but it ended up being one of the worst dining experiences I’ve had in NYC—and we eat out daily. When we walked in, there was no host, so I paused to make eye contact with the staff before seating myself. As I walked to grab a seat, one of the waitresses mocked me to her coworker, saying, “is she just going to stare?” in a condescending tone—not realizing that she was within earshot. They both laughed and went behind the counter.
From there, it only got worse. They continued to laugh and glance over at me throughout the beginning of our meal, which was so uncomfortable and incredibly unprofessional.
I tried to brush it off and enjoy the food, but the ramen didn’t make up for the rude service. I ordered the Susukino ramen which was overly salty with barely any truffle flavor. My boyfriend’s curry ramen was better, but still not memorable. On top of getting made fun of my water was never refilled, even though his was.
If you’re craving ramen, please skip this place. Ramen Ishida, Ippudo, or Kame offer AMAZING ramen and...
