I booked a 30 min dry floatation via ClassPass. Overall: The dry floatation itself felt amazing, but the full experience could be improved by checking the service booked to ensure the full service is provided without interruption. Arrival: I got buzzed into the building. Upon entering the space, the setup seemed a little confusing/awkward because the door opened up to a space that was one of the services rather than the front desk. I looked to my right and saw the front desk. You can't see the staff until you actually approach the front desk. Claire introduced herself and had me sign the waiver, then Madison approached to introduce herself and gave me a tour. Dry floatation: After the tour, Madison led me back to the dry floatation room. I took off my shoes and laid down. Madison provided an eye mask, selected some music for me on an iPhone, handed me the headphones, then started the dry floatation device. The dry floatation itself was extremely relaxing, and I liked how the music selection had water sounds in it to fit the experience. When things started going wrong: When the dry floatation stopped, I checked the time. It has only been 20 mins. I was frustrated that my 30 min experience was disrupted. I put my shoes back on, went back to the front desk, and asked Claire if the device was set for 20 or 30 mins because it felt cut short. She said it had been set to 20 min on accident likely based on habit as 20 min is the standard treatment. Claire offered to set it up for another 10 min, so we went back to the room. I put on the eye mask. Claire already had the device start going at this point. She handed me the headphones and left the room. There was no music playing. This added to my frustration. I didn't feel like getting up once again for help, so I sat up and reached towards the end of the device to the chair where my stuff was sitting to get my phone and AirPods. At this point, I was just stressed because the time was already going, and I still hadn't settled in and had to go through a few searches on Spotify before I found the right vibe. This was supposed to be a relaxing experience, but there were too many bumps in the entire experience to fully enjoy it like I expected. For that reason, I have to rate it down to 3 stars. How the experience can be improved: if I had no disruptions in the 30 min experience, I would’ve given 5 stars. Two pieces of constructive criticism here. First, have staff check what was booked and for what duration to make sure the devices are timed for the proper duration booked. Second, confirm with guests that they are settled in before leaving the room. This could be asking if I’m comfortable, if the music is playing, etc and verbally confirm the set time. Something like “we’ll see you in 30min after your session” would do.

Great bio hacking facility - the owner Pamela is very knowledgeable and uses state of the art tech. This PEMF machine & nanov pairing is very unique for cellular recovery. Have not seen many places in nyc have it. Also has a great workout facility + cold plunge sauna therapy cycle along with other rooms for red light therapy etc. Love love this facility

Absolutely love this place. So grateful it exists. Has completely changed my approach to exercise, strength training and recovery and has opened my eyes to what’s possible with the right technology. And to make it even better, the owner and staff are the kindest and most knowledgeable people. It’s well worth every minute and every penny.

I have been to gyms all over the world and there isn't really anything else out there that compares to what I experience at HACKD. Yes, all of the technology is unbelievable, but one of the more appealing aspects of this gym is the type of fitness they do called, “biohacking” which is the ability to get maximum effects with a minimal effective dose of effort, or to achieve more than one fitness result at the same time with as much efficiency as possible. This is fantastic for people on the go. These techniques allow you to achieve fitness, fat loss, or performance results faster than you would normally be able to. The trainers are all very personable, friendly and the owner Pamela Gold is a source of light and good energy. She is one of the most positive and knowledgeable fitness experts I have ever met! Don't walk, run to HACKD and try it out for yourself--It's the future of...

I have had a fabulous experience at PRTL. I have been strength training with the ARX and Proteus machines and am blown away by how much functional strength I have gained in such economical sessions. The studio is state of the art in every way, and the space thoughtfully designed. I have been reading about this technology for a few years and I feel incredibly lucky to have access to it in New York (I am pretty sure this is the only studio in NYC that offers it.) I love the a la carte package options, as it lets you build a program around your exact needs. My trainers have all been incredibly supportive and a joy to work with. They motivate, but really take the time to listen to your feedback as you workout. I can't recommend the NYC Studio...
