A wonderful ramen shop with excellent service and quality food. Nice and roomy and a good amount to choose from on their menu.
*I am absolutely mean when it comes to actual ramen noodles, the only place I ever gave a standing ovation was hand made ramen in Hakone, Japan (Its on my reviews) I don't even like ramen, but can't deny others when they want to go eat it. I would rank it better than other ramen shops here, becuase I recall trashing my entire bowl of ramen (at a shop on the lower east side) becuase the frozen taste was overwhelming...
Shoyu Ramen: Tastes like frozen ramen, just like most, if not all, ramen shops here. The broth is good, smooth and has a good aroma, no issues, the ingredients are fresh and it all came together with each bite.
Spicy Miso Ramen: It either is or prepared in a way that is taste completely like frozen ramen. A nice spice in the broth and the ingredients were also good, the pork was soft and perfectly oily, the egg with boiled nicely leaving the yolk nice and raw, again, it tasted fine altogether.
Truffel Fries: This was actually very good, the crisp fries with nice powdery spice on it. I loved it and it was a good snack. The spicy dip was also a nice touch.
Pork Fried Rice (Chahan): I loved this the most. The rice was perfectly soft yet crunchy, it was fried up perfectly. The meat they added and little extras made it perfect. Goes down easily while eating ramen, the aroma was fantastic. Ied probaly just buy fried rice next time I come, skipping the ramen.
Fried Chicken (Karaage): Good Karaage, the crisp white meat chicken. Nothing out of the ordinary, but they did a good job with the crunch.
Hamachi Roll (Fish): Any sushi is good when they use quality fish. This roll has a nice soft ans smooth taste. Delicious at that.
Besides from being frozen ramen that tastes no different from me going to the store and buying my own. The rest of the food and broth was great. I would come again. The service again is perfect. I recall my wife saying she was there for hours and didn't kick her out when she was chatting away...
Β Β Β Read moreThe food was good, but the service was terrible. Last night, my friends and I sat at the table closest to the computer. We were all very hungry, so it took us almost ten minutes to finish our meal. Then my friends and I paid the bill and we wanted to sit and talk, and then a waiter came to our table and told us in a very rude manner that we had to leave in five minutes because there were customers waiting outside. This was understandable at first, but his attitude was so bad that it seemed like he was trying to expel us, so we ignored him and we both wanted to talk for a while before we left. When the waiter came to our table again and urged us to leave (with a worse attitude than before), we told him that we might order something later (because my friend told me that she wanted to drink), and the waiter threw a menu in front of us and said in a very strong voice, "Go ahead. Take your order now, "as if forcing us to order, which is really the first time I've ever experienced this. At the time, my friends and I were very shocked, I had never met such a waiter. We were very angry and asked to see their manager several times, only to be told by the waitress who kept harassing us that he was the manager, but the most ridiculous thing was that another waitress came forward and told us that "we don't have a manager". I can't understand who is running this store. I have never seen such a bad waiter. What was most incomprehensible was that when we finally left, the sarcastic waiter continued to verbally attack us and told us not to come back. Of course I...
Β Β Β Read moreThe four of us came here early Friday evening on 12/30/2023, around 6pm. We sat, ordered drinks, appetizers and when it came to ordering the entrees we asked the server if the Tonkotsu had mushrooms in it because one of the person at the table is allergic to mushrooms and cannot have mushrooms. The server said it can be without and we said ok, she'll have that without mushrooms. When her tonkotsu arrives, she digs into the ramen and found pieces of wood-ear mushrooms. We flagged down our server immediately, he said quickly with just a quick second glance, "that's just the seaweed". Two of the people in our group tried the wood-ear mushrooms and called the server again and told him it's definitely mushrooms and he apologize and said he'll get us a new bowl of ramen without mushrooms. We get the new bowl in under 5 mins but some of the ingredients look like it was from the first bowl. She ate a little bit and when we left, she started feeling very sick and was sick for the next day. If your customer tells you they're allergic to something when they order, the least you can do as a restaurant is to know your menu and double check the food that's coming out. It's terrible that the server brushed us off the first time and even more outrageous that the kitchen reused some of the ingredients from the first order AFTER we've made it very clear multiple times the order was wrong because of food allergy reasons. A bowl ramen is $17? How about someone's life? Train your servers better and stop...
