Not all places with QQ in the sign are equal. I was at my barber and shared I needed a good pedicure and I had not been successful finding a place I would return to as a repeat customer. He swore that other customers love QQ on 7th and 22. I was a little skeptical because I have been to other QQs: one I walked out of after being rudely treated by a masseur. I am always amazed when rules are not applied equally at some places. Anyway, there was only one hiccup. They did not have LATEX FREE gloves. I was surprised because latex allergies are not new on the block. Anyway, they came up with latex free gloves from next door. I had to google the term since there was a tad language blip but let’s face it that is why Google is so wonderful and such a unifier in the world. Back to the pedicure-the young lady did a very good job. She was quite skillful. I was pleased and gave her a very generous tip. I was afraid ai had made her nervous after the latex debacle. But we both persevered. Since I was new they gave me a 15 percent discount. If I have any concerns it’s the closeness of the pedicure stations. They are basically butt and cheek-TOO CLOSE! I realize space is at a premium there but either A they could take out one seat and create some distance or whatever. SOMETHING needs to be done. Even with cold or flu season and you wore a mask- it’s still too chummy. Overall, it was a...
Read moreYoyo did my pedicure. The place wasn't busy, but she was in such a rush, she dropped/banged my feet at times, kept dropping dirty paper towels in the water, and I practically had to beg to see one color on a nail to quickly decide between two polishes. No sooner than we'd finished (my feet weren't properly under the fan yet) and she was standing over me with a checkbook asking for payment. I gave my credit card and before I could say a word- she asked me if tip would be on card. I said yes and she asked me how much. I told her I'd pull up a tip calculator (since I hadn't even had a bill in hand!) and she literally stood over me glaring as I pulled it up and wrote it. I did upcharge services and gave a 19% tip, but it felt very uncomfortable. Throughout the visit, I was kind and respectful, so she had no legitimate reason to think I wouldn't pay/tip well. Could've been racial- I don't know. Pedicure looks good, but it was a really bad spa experience. Go with someone else. (I did tell the receptionist and she was kind and...
Read moreSpoke to Donna about how my powder chipped and cracked within 1 week on vacation and showed her pictures of it destroyed at the 2 week mark. She refused to believe me and said my pics weren’t recent enough and that I didn’t treat my nails well. I explained how careful I was with them but she simply wouldn’t believe me and said “no one knows.” She said I should go to a different salon with different powder next time. I am surprised that after going to QQ for 2 years and recommending my friends here, that there was no apology for the poorly done powder and that I was still charged for the soak off of the cracked powder.
Also, for the appointment where I got the badly done powder, I made my appointment with a specific technician and when I came for my appointment, they weren’t in. I then asked the new tech to do an ombré design and she wasn’t able to do it.
2 back to back disappointing QQ experiences. Time for...
