9/13 me & the GF, Sat dinner. On the light side #2, #21, #19, #25. +Wine. All good.
6/21/25 me & The GF, Saturday dinner. C1 ribs - good and with some heat. #21 wonton in spicy sauce - so good. Pork soup dumplings - always amazing. Moo shu chicken - very nice. And a cold Kirin. Service still great!
9/8 back for solo dinner. I got the Shanxi Biangbiang noodles. Really good, more souplike & similar to Daoxaio noodles. So i got the side of rice at the end and it was perfect! So, do that ;)
Side note: my pics were not loading correctly, had to screenshot and reupload, so that's why they look funky.*
5/10/24 dinner- still good.
12/8 solo dinner - got the special table in the back ♥️ good to see everyone.
I had the Daoxaio noodles -really loved them, I've never had this kind of noodle before. This dish is more of a soup, so next time I'll get a bowl of rice for the end with all that delicious broth and add the rice. Like a post-appetizer. If you like rice i urge you to do the same.
They also have my favorite high quality napkins "SimuLinen" - the best, this tells me they care about the customer.
11/19 dinner - tried the C2 ribs, Dry rub. Nice spices & a little heat. Yum!
11/12 dinner - another great meal that started with the cucumber in scallion sauce appetizer, really good, then we had some soup dumplings. Yes I asked for six and they gave us six, only $2 extra 🙂. Then number 22 pork dumplings in spicy sauce, they were good. Then we split C1 -ribs and dry sauteed string beans. Everything was delicious. Upgrade to 5 ⭐
9/25 dinner - so good, i got the house special noodles, nice heat spice and flavor. The GF liked what she had, i can't remember. We had the soup dumplings and a spicy wonton appetizer, they were good. Next time i will ask for 6 soup dumplings and see how well that works... we each want 3. I'll let you know.
4/30/23 back again for dinner with the GF. I had the Dry Hot Noodles - very nice! Would get again. The GF had her favorite chicken and broccoli, really good. We had soup dumplings, they were good, but only 5 per order. :( very hard to split a soup dumpling...

Read moreA friend and I caught a matinee performance at the nearby Irish Repertory Theater, and needed a place to have an early dinner to discuss the play, catch up. This fit the bill very nicely. Tasty dim sum, and my friend was in ecstasy, smelling our pot of Oolong Tea. I'm sure there's better dim sum to be had in this town (and we'd never agree on which was the best), but everything was tasty, and service was excellent--just attentive enough. Nice quiet atmosphere, conducive to conversation--it matters. I wish they'd had turnip cakes, a favorite of mine, but I had some dishes I'd never even heard of before, and was well-content. They offer regular entrees as well, but I'll try those some other time.
A nice feature--they offer a 10% discount if you pay in cash. It makes a difference. To the business and the customer. It's not what you'd call cheap--you pay for the tea, for example--but the tea, served in a china pot (not the metal ones I used to get free tea in) was really first-rate, and such a nice accompaniment to the meal. They offer multiple varieties--this is definitely a place for tea aficionados to check out. No complaints at all, but you know, some folks are never satisfied. I feel blessed to live in a city where I can enjoy such fine food, drink, and chatter--without being surrounded by people. Mind you, we got there before 5, so our timing was impeccable. As was...
Read moreUPDATE AFTER OWNER’S RESPONSE: The issue wasn’t with how the dumplings looked—it was that there was no duck I could see or taste, just crunchy veggies. I’m clearly not the only one who noticed, based on other reviews here. I asked two servers about it. One walked away without answering. The other took my chopsticks and started digging into the dumplings without asking if I was still eating or planning to take them home—honestly, it made me uncomfortable. I still would have tipped if my concern had been acknowledged. I was given one receipt, which I kept for my records. Also, signing a receipt is only required when tipping manually, which didn’t apply here. I absolutely did not sneak out. I even said goodbye to the same server who poked at my food.
Started off just fine, but the ending ruined it. I ordered duck dumplings. I love duck. I even had it earlier that day for lunch. The dumplings had no duck in them—just crunchy veggies. I pointed it out to the servers, but they said it was duck. I was just hoping they’d bring me some of the dumplings I had earlier instead. But they took the plate and brought me a check with the duck dumplings on it. Not the kind of service you expect when you spend $100 by...
