my whole experience here has left me leaving pretty frustrated. from beginning to end, the sales tactic they used are so forced and make you feel so uncomfortable. trying to buy a membership, paying full price, writing a review, etc
my friend bought a treatment here using a coupon and the front desk lady almost refused to honor it. she kept calling her colleague (i think) and asking them if they can accept it? just made us feel as if they're going to feel some type of way or adjust the service towards us based on that. then she kept asking him to refund it and purchase it here at the full price?? wtf?? so unprofessional and that really should have been our first sign to leave.
for over $100, you would expect to leave with your hair in better shape than before right? wrong. they do show you how your hair looks before and after with the machine microscope, but they seem to have no expertise at what they're looking at and no explanation on what state your scalp is in, good or bad. also seemed the same before and after like i have the same hair follicles, what exactly is going to change in two hours?
1.) they didn't explain once what they were going to put on our heads. some smelled medicinal, not sure if it really was or helped. no kind of conditioning the hair either so it was like hay afterwards.
2.) they used damn near boiling temperature liquid on our scalp/hair. you don't need to be a hair expert to know that you're not supposed to use super hot water on hair because it strips your hair of moisture. My point above about my hair being better before than after? My hair was l i f e l e s s and dry afterwards.
3.) i mentioned that i had a perm before we started and i asked the woman doing my treatment if this would affect my perm. she said no. she literally ruined my perm by the time i finished. combination of the temperature of water, the way she blowdried my hair and brushed it. 0/5 just for this.
4.) i guarantee 90% of these google reviews written are incentivized. they kept trying to convince me and my friend to write a 5 star review in exchange for a red envelope?! they wanted a review so bad so here it is
never returning and i recommend anyone reading this to...
Read moreI booked in their website for a 90 min $99 scalp and facial combo-when I call them to confirm the appointment the lady on the phone tells me that’s not a valid deal now they have $168 for 2 hours included scalp n facial-I agree and so I show up for my appointment today
Place is best and clean and the estheticians did a good job
At the end of the 2 hours I go to the front o pay up and I’m presented a bill of $182.00 When I ask what it’s about they tell me “new year tax” I may not be asian but I know Chinese new year is in February -I said no one mentioned this when I booked the service-they couldn’t show me anywhere in writing that this was a mandatory “tax” that I had to pay So between the language barrier and having spent a couple of hours with a parking meter that had already expired I was eager to leave ! Then she insisted I pay tips in cash but I put it on the card instead and left from there. I may have considered going back for the service but the unnecessary lying and deceit makes me want to say not to go there-from a website claiming a $99 service to actually taking $200 is not acceptable
I don’t like to work with providers who are not transparent about “tax and misc charges” that are slapped on you After the service ! Now I know why she refused to get paid before the service when i wanted to pay first… I will not be supporting this...
Read moreScalp and hair treatment therapy have been on the rise in popularity and I've been looking into getting my hair done for a while. I found this on the way shopping in Flushing and I am so glad I stopped in! When you walk in, you see an open space and in natural light wood colors. There's the calming spa music playing as well that sets the mood. You first get a consultation where they show your scalp and hair condition using a microscopic camera. Then, you get changed and they start you off with a neck and scalp massage with oil. My neck and upper shoulders have been so sore from working but my masseuse really got ALL the knots! She even took great care to turn my head very gently which I appreciated. After the massage, you soak your head in a warm herbal "soup" that they say has good restorative properties. After a bit, they then go in and wash with a gentle shampoo/conditioner and do another head massage as well. When everything is done, they dry your hair and put an amazing smelling hair oil in it. Truly so relaxing! When I went to comb my hair, it was so silky and soft. Definitely a transformation for my damaged and color treated hair. Staff is friendly and space is clean and feels spa luxe....
