I'd absolutely recommend this location, they were great! Roxanne is fantastic!
I was a bit hesitant to go to this location based on the crumby reviews but it's close to work and near some restaurants so gave it a go.
Scheduling the appointment on the phone was about as fun as any dialing scheduler but bonus it took the info first try! So yay for working.
I arrived a few minutes early and checked in. It was just myself and one guy in the waiting room at 1pm on a Friday in August. I waited about half of a NYT article reading time.
A nurse popped out and called my name. I proceeded to the back with her
I went in for literally about 25 tests which took 19 vials. She meticulously entered the tests. Then we came to one my doctor wrote in that neither of us could figure out which it was. She called my doctor's office and patiently waited while they grabbed the doctor to confirm which test she wanted. The nurse confirmed a couple times since it was over the phone with my Dr which was great they both repeated the test name.
The nurse gave me all the papers to review once we changed my address and some minor contact details we were ready to draw blood.
Roxanne did a great job finding my vein the first time, I told her my veins are not always as they appear so to go by feel. She got it the first time.
We chatted while she drew the 19 vials. Whole experience was lovely and took like 30 minutes total. I'd highly recommend this location and...
Read moreI had to drop off specimens 2 days in a row at this location. First day wasn't too bad. The women who was processing me asked to verify my information, I told her that she had an old address. When I tried to give her the current one , she told me not now. So when she gave me papers to sign and initial , I noticed that she had the wrong address on it. I corrected. She had to type new paperwork and labels. She also told me ,I didn't have enough for my one specimen. So I took the vial after she told me we were done. So I went back the next day to drop it off early. In fact, I arrived at 8:36 am. Their TV listed my wait time as 3 mins. Then it said 8, changed to 3 again and back to 8 mins. I sat in an nearly empty waiting room for a half an hour. Finally, I confronted a male employee who knew my name and that I was just dropping off this specimen. When I asked why the long wait- he replied that I didn't make an appointment. I tried to make one on the phone , but was directed to a location finder instead. Their online and voice recording states their hour for Monday through Friday are 7 am to 5 pm: but the plaque in their waiting room say 8 am to 4 pm. I felt that these are mixed messages - that they really don't want walk ins. I am going to suggest the Union and BCBS to find...
Read moreI was supposed to get blood work done but my prescription didn't get sent through electronically as quickly as one would hope. The woman seeing me in the lab had no patience to wait for the document to go through her system. She kept insisting on sending me back to the doctor. I did it the first time only because the doctor was in the same building. Doctor said they sent it just give it some time to go through. I go back to the lab and the woman seemed annoyed with me because I didn't have a paper copy of the work order. I said the doctor sent it it just needs time to go through. She looked even more annoyed because she wanted me to go back to my doctor for a hard copy. I said I'll wait for it to go through. She then went to walking back to me several times between 2 mins intervals saying she hadn't gotten it yet. She then asked me to double check my info to make sure it was right. I said yes. She I had to go back or call my doctor. At that point I decided I did not want to deal with that person. I went and got a paper copy for myself to...
