I'm gonna give three stars because the guy is EXTREMELY nice and was liberal with the Chutneys, as well as giving us a free Lhassi (which I can't drink because I hate Mango. 🤣💦) Otherwise, I'm really not sure what Everybooty is raving about unless they have never had Indian food before that is seasoned well. Maybe the Tika sauce has flavor, but we don't eat Chicken so that wasn't a possibility. Instead, I got a Saag Paneer that had less flavor than the frozen one at Trader Joe's. The Chana Aloo Paneer was even more bland. Things like Spinach, Potatoes, and Chick Peas REALLY need help to shine and they weren't getting it. The Onion Pakora was also a little bland but at least the oil they were fried in was fresh, it seemed. The Cilantro Chutney is pretty good. I hate to leave a brutal review but we went because of all the great reviews and ended up wasting most of a $45 lunch. The portions are definitely generous, massive even. I wish him well but can't...
Read moreI’ve walked past this food truck so many times and it always smells so good, and the reviews also reported such good food that I was excited to finally try it out today. We ordered online and the portions were exactly as generous as the reviews stated, but when we finally started eating (chicken tikka masala) it was… very bland. The sauce was bland, the rice was watery and virtually unseasoned, the inside of the samosa was bland potatoes with some peas, and the naan was also pretty bland and not fluffy at all. We were so disappointed!
The lassi was tasty of course, and nothing was bad per se, but honestly “bland and boring” should be the last words to describe Indian flavors! Sadly writing this review to help others have more balanced expectations. If you want lots of ok food for a reasonable price, then this is still definitely going to fill you up, but if you want delicious Indian food this unfortunately ain’t it (or maybe they were having an off day,...
Read moreI see why it’s five stars. Everything I tried was delicious and flavorful. The chicken is really well marinated no matter what dish you get. I had the Tikka Masala and the Tikka Biryani, both with chicken. I recommend every appetizer, I tried them all. I really liked the Pakora, a great alternative to onion blossoms or rings. The samosas were hot, big, and stuffed. The Mango Lassi is good and their drinks could be colder, but they have Thums Up and Limca which are popular sodas in India. Ideal for pick up but there are seating spaces at the opposite street corner. Regardless where you eat it, expect to enjoy the flavor -...
