Raceway Motors, Inc. — Local services in New York

I bought a 2006 Honda Pilot back in April 2016 from this dealership. Paid the $7,500 for the car in cash on the spot. Here is how that turned out:

-When I test drove it, I noticed the check engine light was on. I was told it would be inspected. Sure enough, the next time I saw the car, the light was off. Guess what. The light turned right back on a week later and is STILL on 4 years later. I've gotten it checked many times by multiple mechanics. No one can tell me what the problem is.

-One of the bulbs above the dashboard did not turn on. I was told it would be taken care of. Never was.

-About 2 months after I bought the car, the starter died. Luckily, they replaced it at their expense

-Worst of all, the car transmission completely died on me December 2016. I had to get a soft rebuild that cost me $1,600. This is when my close fiends told me I was sold a lemon.

-I was told the tires were new. Me, being young and ignorant, and having no idea how new tires look, actually believed them. Turns out the tire treads were gone a few months later. Had to buy 4 new tires.

A lot of this stuff is my own fault for being stupid enough to actually trust another human being selling cars. Never make that mistake.

Reply to owner: I get the point you are trying to make is that this happened 4 years ago, so I'm making this whole thing up. I'm not making this up. And I did contact ownership multiple times, including when tbe transmission failed. I included the fact that you did pay for my new starter months after I bought the car, but that doesnt change the fact that my car didn't start only 4 months after I bought the car.

And honestly, I never wrote a review because you seemed like a nice guy. But the more I thought about it, the more unlikely it seems that you didn't know this car was a lemon, though I can't know for sure.

I'm writing this review now because I'm thinking of getting a different car that doesn't have the engine light on for mysterious reasons, which made me want to help anyone going to your place so that the same thing doesn't...

The WORST DEALERSHIP EVER, JOE THE OWNER IS SO IRRESPONSIBLE, VERY UNPROFESSIONAL.. He sold me a 2015 Ford Fusion Titanium, and he never pulled me the CarFax, CAR HAS 2 ACCIDENTS, AND THE OTHER DEALERSHIP TOLD ME HE PULLED AROUND 12k MILES BACK, CAR HAVING CHECK ENGINE SINCE PURCHASE, I CALLED TO GET HELPED AND HE MAKING FUN OF WHAT IM TRYING TO EXPLAIN!!. IF YOU DONT WANT TO WASTE UR MONEY DONT PURCHASE FROM HERE, THIS GUY WILL PLAY YOU BADLY AND CLEAN HIS HANDS!! HE IS NOT GIVING ME CHOICES TO SWAP THE CAR OR WHATEVER..

By the way, i DID took it to a mechanic i even told you that last week i took it and thats how i found out the car suspension was never fixed, is all broken.

(Update) : I didn’t purchased this car 4 months ago, stop lying to people, tomorrow is barely my second car payment. I recorded my call since we started talking, who got disrespected and hangs up the phone was YOU, i even told you like 3 times that i need help and not argue. And you kept the drama. I have proof of everything,...

My wife took me to Joseph to meet him and look at a 2012 dodge charger silver I seen the car asked him anything wrong with it mind u she swore there wasn’t I trusted him brought the car payed him extra for a radio he damaged my hole dashboard doing something he clearly didn’t kno how to do plus a week after paying 9 thousand n change the car took a dump on me I tryed to reach out to Mr Joseph Mind u he made me put all this insurance on the car that don’t cover anything I was paying 1700 they told me none of that applied so u don’t kno watt I went through I had to pay an extra 5 thousand to fix the car so in all together I dint think he should b selling any cars i don’t recommend this place to nobody all he cares about is money...
