So, after what I would consider to be very successful boarding experiences and cat feeding experiences, I come with a sad update to my last review.
Itâs clear that the attention has been taken off this location and placed onto the location in ridgewood because the care has gone downhill in my two years in this neighborhood.
I went away for a work trip where I paid to board my dog (their rates are the highest in the area but ya know loyalty right?) and have them feed my cat.
I had left instructions in the portal, as well as instructions on the counter with clearly identified steps for how to take care of my cat. Which they had done before. NO problems. (And yes I can provide receipts for all my visits)
When I came home, I had a miserable cat who had their food presented to him like slop. When I messaged the owner, he sent me the most obnoxious response back, essentially pinning it on my cat somehow being at fault for the caretakers negligence. Could the instructions have been better? Sure. But it doesnât take a rocket scientist to understand how to feed a cat properly, especially when the feeder is a literal rep from Pawsies.
I reached out in hopes that Ivan, the usually pleasant owner, would acknowledge that, even if maybe it was somehow my cats fault, that he apologizes for the experience. Instead I got the below. Iâve included the image of the food bowl when I got home, you tell me that thatâs an anxious cats fault and not a careless handler who slapped wet food on top of the dry food (TWICE).
If youâre boarding your dog, I have no issues there. Just donât let them...

We have had the pleasure of having Ivan help us train our growing fur baby as well as boarding with him for 6days while the pawrents went on a much needed vacay. I firstly want to speak on the training package that we did with Ivan we did private sessions so we could get the most out of each session and Ivan was very thorough in not just showing us how to connect with our dog, but how to be whobour pup needs us to be as far as LEADERS. many people have said training is for the owners not for the dogs and I truly believe that!! Ivan I've learned a lot from you in our sessions together and Jake is the great dog that he is thanks in part to you đ€. secondly I'll speak on the boarding not going to lie this was Jake's first time boarding so I was very nervous so I got the package that had everything to make sure he was good and that I could see everything Jake's still a puppy he's only 8 months old and I've had him since a baby so it was nerve wracking leaving him for 6 days but when I tell you watching him everyday via the live cam and seeing how happy he was and how happy he was when we came back and was perfectly fine We'll forever be grateful for that Ivan and his team love your pets the same way you love them these are genuinely good people thank you so much Ivan and for everything...
Read moreWe adopted our sweet 6 y/o pittie, buddy, after his family abandoned him. We were very nervous about where we could take him for daycare and boarding bc he had severe anxiety and was an instant Velcro pup. Pawsies has been a godsend. They genuinely care about their dogs and we really appreciated their professionalism. They required a behavioral assessment before we could board him there but that helped us feel more comfortable that he was in good hands. When we picked him up after his first extended boarding he had to say bye to one of the male caretakers before he left, which we loved. Also, the gf and I needed a date night so dropped him off so he could socialize with his friends and have play time, and on the way there I heard a voice behind me yell out âBUDDYâ. They knew and remembered his name! They also nicknamed him âchicken wingâ bc he is missing a few toes on one foot, and the gf and I have since adopted the name.
We love Pawsies and recommend them to everyone who asks. 10/10 would...
