This Halal restaurant was 🤩utstanding!! I wish I lived closer to go again! Family of 8, nicely accommodated! Comfortable seating. Night Club lighting giving it a festive/romantic feel. The Staff was SO accommodating and personable! The Food, well it’s the BEST Indian I’ve had!! Truly, The Best! Fresh and delicious! I had the shrimp in spinach sauce (I’m sorry, I don’t know the true name of it, but it’s always my go-to dish). Somehow it was lighter and fresher than I’ve ever had! Not one complaint from the other 7 w/me! Rice was a mix of basmati & yellow- very light, not sticky, and flavorful. Many baskets of Naan & Pompidom which were the very best- one was thin, light and crispy, the other was light and puffy full of delicious garlic flavor! They don’t serve alcohol there, but their Mocktails were delicious! I had a lemon mojito! Purrfect! They have bottles of Sparkling Tea that they serve in champagne glasses and belong in them! 🥂✨ There’s two flavors, we got both and everyone (8) had a glass (or two)! We couldn’t stay for dessert, sadly, but the birthday girl was presented w/pistachio ice cream and a candle, accompanied by some Special Indian music! As I said, the Staff was Wonderful! I would have loved to have the time to explore their dessert menu, bc it looked yum! Go! Tell your friends! Keep this Wonderful little spot in business, so it’s there for next time...
Read moreThere are absolutely many reasons you should visit this place. First let me thank every single chefs in the kitchen for taking their time and serving mouth watering dishes. And secondly thank you to owners for being NOT cheap when it comes to hospitality, like many other fancy restaurants in NYC.
Over the time, I’ve visited many restaurants and had mixed experiences. I went to this location with common expectations. I’m not a professional food critic or anything but I do observe every single details, when it comes to hospitality and services.
These are reasons they deserve 5*
Chefs actually take their time to make your food rather than preheating premade food like other so called DESI food.
Their prices are very reasonable with the portion and quality.
They are not cheap when it comes to serving you enough food with options of meat you choose.
Their halal drinks are absolutely luscious, priced are insanely affordable. Even simple details such as they wouldn’t fill your cup with plain ice only. You will enjoy the simplicity of the drink.
Seats were very comfortable and very spacious.
so I would encourage everyone to support them, which they deserve. I think they are best example of being a amazing business owner in hospitality. They were amazing and...
Read moreIf you're looking for amazing Indian food in town, look no further than Curry in Handi! My wife and I visited this restaurant for dinner and we were blown away by the quality of the food and service. From the moment we walked in, the staff was incredibly welcoming and attentive, making sure we had everything we needed to enjoy our meal.
We started off with some delicious mocktails which were really refreshing and a perfect start to the meal. They have a full Halal Bar, which include a wide variety of mocktails and 0.0% wines. The mocktails and wines were worth it.
For our entrees, we tried the Butter Chicken and Lamb Shank, and both dishes were absolutely amazing! The Butter Chicken was so flavorful and creamy, while the Lamb Shank was tender and cooked to perfection. The naan bread was warm and fresh, the rice was fluffy and flavorful, and the sides were all delicious.
Overall, we had an exceptional dining experience at Curry in Handi. I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for great Indian cuisine. The staff was friendly and attentive, the food was outstanding, and the Halal Bar was an added bonus. Don't hesitate to give Curry in Handi a try - you won't be...
