This is a beautiful, clean space. The service was wonderful. I was offered a drink as soon as I walked in and provided a basket for my bag so I did not have to place it on the floor. There is a discount for first time customers and cash payments, but you cannot combine the discounts upon your first visit, which is fair. I mostly only do Dazzle Dry on my nails and they had a good selection of colors. This can be hard to find sometimes.
My only complaint was that it seemed like the dazzle dry color I chose was a bit old/sticky (the technician confirmed this was probably the case). One of my nails got messed up on the way out which never happens. The technician was kind enough to fix it for me. I also felt like this manicure started chipping a little sooner than my usual manicures but I will chalk it up to a bad batch. I would definitely give this place another try.
(P.P.S. And this is not on the staff. There was one customer who was speaking loudly while taking what sounded like a work meeting. I'm a bit spoiled by places like Takunya uptown where there is a no talking on the phone policy, but hey -- that's not the case everywhere. Overall the staff and place was lovely with quiet music and soft voices except for that one customer. Hopefully, you don't sit next to someone that...
Read moreI absolutely love this location! Supporting small businesses is one of my favorite things to do. This location was extremely clean, welcoming, and extremely professional. I have natural nails, and I had a gel manicure with cuticles also being serviced. The staff was so sweet and provided recommendations on nail color to match my toes. I did have dipping powder on my nails so it was a charge to remove that, which is fair. I was provided a first time customer discount and coupon for next visit. If you pay with cash, you can get a discount. However, you can’t combine the first time and cash discount together. I did have to share with my nail tech, to be patient and allow the dipping powder to come off. Using the buffer on my natural - too much will weaken my nails. I felt that she was rushing a bit. My husband enjoined a 30 min foot massage. He said it was very relaxing. It was our 24 year wedding anniversary. Nice treat for him! However, she still did a wonderful job and I would go back again to see her when I return to Brooklyn. Walking distance from our hotel Marriott Brooklyn Bridge. Hidden Gem! Can’t wait to...
Read moreI used my class pass membership to schedule a gel pedicure which was 35 credits, equivalent to $73. Upon arrival they told me it’ll be an extra $10 to remove the old gel which now amounts to $83 for a traditional gel pedicure. This all would be slightly okay if I wasn’t met with attitude and aggression from the nail technician. I get pedicures regularly so my feet are maintained. She scrubs the bottom of heels for no more than 10 seconds on each foot with barely any pressure. I can clearly see there’s still dead skin so I ask her to scrub it a little more, she proceeds to use a NAIL FILER for all of 10 seconds which ofc barely makes a difference. Never ever coming here again, the audacity to charge $83 for a pedicure (not Russian) and ask for a tip when you can barely be professional and do a remotely decent job. Shame. I’m now going home to finish the job they didn’t....
